Texas woman arrested, body-slammed, told blacks have ‘violent tendencies’

Breaion King, an Austin, Texas school teacher was driving, according to police, 15 miles above the speed limit. This is not exactly a remarkable event, unless it’s completely mishandled. This is a time that turned out worse than you can imagine, but thankfully, no one died, at least. I can’t think of a time where I…

There is definitely a problem with some police officers and blacks. However, what he said is also how a lot of people see blacks unfortunately. Where do we start? Other than making sure the demographics match the police force, what do we do? Training will only work if they want to change. Should we start having officers call in officers of the same race as the person? Kind of like how they have women officers search women. Something has to be done, and quick.

You need to start getting the cops out of cars and have them patrol neighborhoods on foot. Have them walk around and get to know the people who live in the neighborhood If people feel they can trust cops, maybe they will be comfortable about talking to them and give them some of the information they could use to closely investigate certain people.

        This would definitely help.

I would go step further and have LEOs spend half their time actually serving the community. They can do things like deliver meals with meals on wheels, work in homeless shelters, give people rides to the doctor that need it, things like that. If they were actively involved in helping the community, they would have less of a tendency to beat up on it. Basically, their egos would be attached to being good stewards rather than macho bullies. Right now they are too disconnected from the community, they aren’t servants, they are more like henchmen of the rich and powerful oligarchy.

Good idea, they need to stop acting as if they are better than the community they work in.

        • Lyndia July 23rd, 2016 at 17:42

They are not going to do that. Good idea, though.

Deliver meals? Ride to the doctor? Should they do those things for black citizens or everybody? The majority of these cases highlight how certain people (blacks) have trouble following orders. Don’t like that you’re getting pulled over? File a complaint. Where has it ever been proven that the police will drive away if you talk back, resist arrest, not comply to show your hands, etc. Try showing the many cases of blacks being pulled over for a traffic citation, complying and driving away 15 minutes later without incident.

I think, in a lot of instances, police no longer see themselves, or literally aren’t, part of the community. They have no skin in the game.

    • Lyndia July 23rd, 2016 at 17:41

Training? They should have never been hired.

      • DGfishingtime July 23rd, 2016 at 17:59

There is no test they can give for what is in their heart of hearts. Even if there was, it would be unconstitutional likely.

I had a black friend tell me about the time he was driving with another friend. They drove past a cop car sitting off the side of the road with no lights on and as soon as they past on come the lights and siren blaring. The cops accused them of smoking weed which they weren’t then proceeded to search their car. They found nothing but were not satisfied so they called in a K9 unit to search again. After almost 2 hours the cops found nothing and left with no apologies for the ridiculous detainment. This goes on all over the country all day, every day. Cops harassing innocent people and the victims are powerless to do anything about it. Makes me want to puke…

when “be afraid ” became your national motto.

      • whatthe46 July 23rd, 2016 at 16:07

then that’s the wrong picture. be afraid is for minorities from the cops, not the other way around.

And they were dealing with drug crazed trippin’ hippies no less! And we all know how dangerous they were.

Yet another member of law enforcement demonstrates that he is psychologically ill-equipped to handle the routine stresses of the job.

Someone needs to reevaluate the process used by police departments and private security firms to determine whether someone is emotionally fit for this line of work.

    • whatthe46 July 23rd, 2016 at 16:06

you know, that term “stress on the job” has become more than just an excuse. if pulling a black person over for speeding or watching a black man sell cigarettes on the street, or pumping gas into their cars is now, an excuse to execute and assault, than it’s no longer stress that’s the problem, it’s ignorance and racism. stress can be handled in many ways, medication, relaxation, vacation, or a new position. choosing to be ignorant and a racist while a police officer has nothing to do with stress when you’re in a position of power, it’s a chance to put to practice brutality and get paid for it. and of course, be excused for it.

      • Roctuna July 23rd, 2016 at 18:25

I firmly believe there’s an unrecognized steroid problem in law enforcement too. Have you noticed how bulked-up most of these “stressed” cops are? Their hair-triggers are a symptom of roid-rage. I’d like to see a mandate for the officers to pee in a cup after every one of these kinds of arrests.

you have some real sick fks over there. We have dirt bags and jerks too but nowhere as classless and evil as you folks do.

  6. Gina Bousquet July 23rd, 2016 at 13:00

It would seem the worst of Conservatives are now joining the police force…

  7. whatthe46 July 23rd, 2016 at 15:59

wow, so she gets arrested and treated worse than Roof, she’s assaulted and they get to keep working. NOT ANYMORE! if she can get arrested for driving over the speed limit, then they can be fired and arrested for assaulting a civilian w/o reason. this chit has to end now.

  8. Gary Parillo July 23rd, 2016 at 16:36

This is a clear cut case of outright racism. The cop admitted to that in his own ignorant verbal statement.Black people have violent tendecies?? Tell that to someone who has been raped, robbed,or assaulted by a white person. All a matter of perspective isnt it ? Those two cops should be taken off street duty, retrained or fired.Fired would be the most sensible. And there are still whites who cant understand why the blm movement came about?? Ignorance!!

    • whatthe46 July 23rd, 2016 at 17:55

it makes his statement even more ignorant when they are the ones being violent towards this woman doesn’t it?

      • Gary Parillo July 23rd, 2016 at 18:36

Irony at its finest isnt it.Kinda like Trump declaring he will restore law and order to america, while he instigates violent behavior at his rallies!

That fat turd couldn’t even pin her down she must have had brothers and then after she let him cuff her he was panting like a dog good thing for him she didn’t resist. She is caught totally off guard asking why is he trying to put her on the ground but all he does is yell at her and cops have to ask why people shoot them. Time for the good cops to clean up their ranks.
