300 dogs removed from puppy mill; couple arrested

The couple is accused of keeping more than 300 dogs.

Robert Murphy, 60, and his wife Susan, 67, both of Eden, were taken into custody Monday on charges of animal cruelty, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

More than 300 dogs, many of them Pomeranians, were previously removed from the couple’s Cooper Road home April 6 during an animal welfare check, the agency said in a news release.

The dogs were in “poor health requiring immediate need” of veterinary aid, living in what authorities call “deplorable conditions.” Most of the animals had matted fur and were covered in feces, the Associated Press reports.

Too much fat and gristle, not good for puppies who need to become healthy.

The hate and anger I have for people like this would lead me to skin them alive.

Turds who do stuff like that tax the system that provides for strays whether it is the city pound or animal rescue or whatever and they are having a hard enough time finding homes for the animals they already have.

A neighbor called the local animal rescue to report some stray cats and they told her that they would give her a trap and let her catch them, then charge her $60 apiece to drop the animals off! They said they could not get rid of the cats they had and that they were past capacity.
