McConnell: Trump still not a ‘credible’ candidate, ‘need to change’

Posted by | June 29, 2016 13:42 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

The Senate Majority Leader says he’s “getting closer.”

In an interview with NY1, McConnell said that “my hope is that he is beginning to pivot and become what I would call a more serious and credible candidate for the highest office in the land.”

The reporter asked if that meant McConnell didn’t think he was quite credible yet.

“He’s getting closer. Getting closer,” McConnell said.

McConnell also told the outlet that “Trump clearly needs to change, in my opinion, to win the general election.”

    “beginning to pivot”?

He is 70 years old and he would have to do a pirouette.

    He just plain sucks.

And that’s the way it is.

McConnell has no power or influence thanks to trump.

    Your days are over Mitch.

    And it is your fault.

I’m thinking that every time McConnell and Ryan have to comment on Trump that John Boehner chuckles and pours another one.

Yeah. He can vote and cheer for tRump in private. Here he gets to laugh and thanking GOD he doesn’t have to, at least, look like a fool in public.

He’s not even close to being credible, but McConnell is going to vote for him anyway. That says a lot about McConnell’s credibility.

It says more about how little Mitch cares for America.

Mitch McConnell: The guy who doesn’t like the consequences of his past actions/words which led to Trump taking over his party. I have zero sympathy for him and the delusional world he inhabits where he thinks Trump is getting anywhere close to being credible. McConnell can’t recognize credibility in others because he has none himself.

You’re not a credible senator either…call it even.

  8. Larry Schmitt June 29th, 2016 at 18:56

But he will still support him because he’s the party’s candidate. So why should anyone listen to him?

  9. amersham1046 June 29th, 2016 at 20:54

He is leading the GOP parade, so join or or go home and bemoan the party’s problem in the privacy of your own closet
