Report: Trump plans would add $11.5 trillion to debt

The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget says what Trump wants to do would “massively increase” the debt over the next decade.

The “Promises and Price Tags” report released by the nonpartisan, non-profit organization found that Trump would add $11.5 trillion to the debt by 2026, while his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton would add $250 billion in the same time period.

This striking discrepancy is primarily the result of Trump’s tax reforms, which would cut net taxes by $10.5 trillion over a decade, slashing national revenue. Clinton’s relatively small increase in debt would come mostly from increased spending on college education, infrastructure, paid family leave and other social initiatives. The former secretary of states has proposed several tax increases, primarily on businesses and on the country’s highest earners, to account for the bulk of this new spending.

Other independent analyses of Trump’s economic policies found similarly ominous results. The Tax Policy Center estimated that his tax plan would add nearly $10 trillion to the debt over the next decade, while a recent Moody’s Analytics report determined that his proposals would trigger a recession.

No biggie. He loves debt. He’d just renegotiate it. Right? Isn’t that how the real world works?

Only in Trump land. Where I work, the people I assist, they have unpleasant chats with the repo man, the bail bondsman, and the loanshark.
And I don’t think anybody will be able to break Trump’s knees over his debts.

Trump isn’t really a serious candidate…there is nothing “real” about him…All Myth and Mirrors…Nothing that comes from his mouth should be taken seriously…
I would apologize to Alan for calling all Media as being culpable in the Rise of Trump…There are some in the media, Alan being in this group, that HAS been pointing out the facts and figures about Trump and his basic campaign lies, all along…I missed the whole fracturing of the media…I may have been Bedazzled by the Bullshit…but thanks to folks like Alan, and the moderators at this site, I have had the opportunity to look around with an open mind, and with a firm grasp of reality, into how we have been Bedazzled…the Open Forum, is a good example of this divide…the mods here have kept this site in good condition, and is a place where critical thinking is encouraged…and accepted…thanks mods…

Well, Trump MUST be taken as a serious candidate because he can now be voted in and become our 45th President and first Glorious Leader and President-for-Life.
What needs to be done is that everything he says must no longer be taken as an amusing reality show, but dissected for its truth, and then he must be held fully accountable for his words and plans.
Regrettably, from what I’ve seen of the media, they won’t. All they care about is Kim Kardashian’s ass. He should pick her as his running mate…

Yes, but Donald would find a way to personally profit from it, so it’s all good.

Everything will be paid for using other people’s money. That’s his specialty. Guess who those “other people” are?
