I am sorry that the man is dead and sorry for his family and loved ones. But at least he was made safer by his guns and his class did get some valuable lessons. I wonder how many still want to carry guns, it could go either way because some people double down on stupid.

It would be interesting to learn just how the class reacted… and how many still feel the need to have a gun around.

I have wondered, we never seem to hear from the gun nuts who lay a gun around and end u having their toddler kill one of their other children, or one of the parents…I want to know how the majority feel about guns and safety then…..or how the 6 men who in one short period of time, shot off their own penis…..one while tossing his girlfriends pink gun up and down in the air at the gas station…..that bullet could have hit outside the car and taken out anybody passing by, hit a child sitting in a car.

I am not afraid of most people who are law abiding gun owners. I object to stupid people having guns, or mentally ill people until they have been successfully treated, children, criminals, and radicals who want to overthrow the government having them.

I’m not one, but I have had many many hunter friends over the years. They usually had weapons appropriate for hunting. None felt the need to have military-style weapons in order to hunt. Nor did a single one feel the need to be packing at any other time. The one friend I had who DID carry all the time wasn’t a hunter, but he always had at least 2 on his person and probably another half dozen firearms in his trunk. I would never invite him over, or let him in if he came unannounced.

Those who have use for them as a tool (hunters, police, the military, those with particularly dangerous jobs) have reason to carry on a regular basis. Joe Whackjob with and agenda and a psychotic break? No, don’t think so. Billy Ray Minuteman who needs a firearm NOW NOW NOW, probably should have one NEVER NEVER NEVER.

I can get my driver’s license suspended for a non-vehicular ticket, even before I had even applied for it (as I learned one day,) but I can “accidentally” leave a handgun in the crib for my child to kill himself with, and I still get to keep all my guns. Thank you NRA.
