Conservatives gather to plot another Cruz presidential run

Posted by | June 16, 2016 08:41 | Filed under: Politics

A private dinner took place to plot a path for Ted Cruz to lead the conservative movement moving forward.

The dinner was at the Virginia home of conservative activist Brent Bozell, and the agenda was to plot Cruz’s future and the future of the conservative movement. The undertone of the dinner was about how to position Cruz for a future tilt at the presidency and to spearhead the conservative movement from his seat in the Senate, those in attendance said.

Dining with Cruz and his chief of staff, Paul Teller, were some of the most powerful figures in the conservative movement…

Many of the leaders at the dinner want Cruz to run for president again, and they are viewing Cruz’s unsuccessful 2016 run as similar to Reagan’s failed attempt in 1976 to unseat the incumbent Republican president, Gerald Ford.

Given Cruz’s affiliation with religious leaders who preach American society must move in the direction of law from the holy book and execute gays, as well as other sinners, Cruz is an excellent choice. We really didn’t need any more proof of the party’s extremism, insanity, disorganization, and disconnect from reality; but there it is. http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/ted-cruz-who-attended-event-calling-gays-be-put-death-delivers-characteristically-smug-respo

I’m sure that there are plenty of people out there who would rather not vote for Cruz than not vote for Trump.

Cruz’s time has come and gone … Liberals have won the contest of ideas.
This is the death of the conservative movement, there will be a couple spikes here and there, but the party is finished.
