McConnell repeatedly won’t say if attacks on Mexican judge is racist

Posted by | June 5, 2016 10:34 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

Pressed by Chuck Todd, Mitch McConnell repeatedly refused to answer.

Chuck Todd asked three separate times, “Is that a racist statement?”

McConnell gave three different variations on “I couldn’t disagree more with a statement like that.”

Todd brought up how Erick Erickson is openly calling Trump a racist and saying, “Damn the GOP for its unwillingness to speak up on this… the Party of Lincoln intends to circle the wagons around a racist.”

McConnell’s response? “The party of Lincoln wants to win the White House.”

The party of Lincoln will only further damage it’s brand by backing Trump … But they have no other choice … This is the corner they’ve painted themselves into

      I agree.
Hey, I think the moderator has stolen my post.
      Hopefully it’s just temporary.

Did you use Cheney’s first name?

Remember the GOP “autopsy.” they did on themselves after Obama wiped the floor with them in 2012?

      Here is what they learned:

      1. Pass Immigration Reform Yesterday
      2. Listen To Minorities
      3. Gays Aren’t Going Away
      4. Epistemic Closure Is Real
      5. Look To The States
      6. Stop Being The Rich Guys

They are violating at lest five of them in their support of Trump.

PS: I had to look up “epistemic closure” — this refers to the right wing media bubble.

The party of Lincoln became the bastion of all racists and bigots after the civil rights act was passed in 1964.
It’s hardly an appropriate phrase today and shames the memory of a famous President who lead the fight and won against bigotry, hatred and slavery.
To hell with this lying, bigoted, obstructionist turtle-faced prick.

John Fugelsang likes to say, “You don’t have to be a racists to support Trump but you aren’t bothered by it, either.”

“The party of Lincoln wants to win the White House.”…
    At any price.

It would help if The Party of Lincoln had done anything good since the time of Lincoln.

An oft-repeated conservative charge against Obama is that he won’t say the phrase “radical Islamic terrorism”

He won’t say it because he doesn’t believe it’s real. — the argument goes. (Or, even worse — “he won’t say it because he is it”.)

Is that why Mitch McConnell won’t say the world “racist”?

This is hardly the party of Lincoln, it compares more to ISIS than any form of government we have ever had.

Keep towing that party line…there’ll soon be no party to tow.

“The party of Lincoln and Grant , and Sherman wants to win the White House.” this should be a good selling point in the south
