Ben Carson: Walter Cronkite was a ‘radical left-wing’ journalist

And Carson thought he was paying Uncle Walter a compliment.

Carson told CNN’s Chris Cuomo, “I remember growing up, I used to turn the TV on and see Walter Cronkite or somebody like that. And you could really trust them.” Carson, whose name has been floated as a potential VP pick for Trump, continued, “Even though Walter Cronkite was a left wing radical, you would never know that,” he said casually.

is there anybody……just anybody at all on the republican side that isn’t batshit crazy? Just even one person that doesn’t make me ashamed of being an American? Please…..somebody find me one person….just one.

I am so glad I left that party, so sorry I was ever fooled into voting for Nixon and Reagan…..I feel like I helped vote for what it has become today.

don’t feel bad…this is what makes us human…knowing that we have made mistakes, and then learn from them…I don’t think we need to be ashamed to be an American..only if you are a republican…they are an embarrassment to us…as a whole, but we are fighting against them…that should make you proud to be an American…they have become a party of fools, dolts, and corrupted…I would blame you if you had known the future, but well, don’t feel bad, just help us and yourself with getting out the vote, help your neighbors and friends become politically active…that is how I am making up for my past mistakes…goofs and stupidity…do what you can to keep the republicans from office…

      Colon Powel.
I do hope you feel better now.

Unless he’s named for the large intestine (or a sideways umlaut), it’s Colin.

oops ! That’s what I get for relying on spell checker !

      • clemans May 16th, 2016 at 14:34

nope, not him, he is even worse, he knowingly lied to help us get into a war for oil, that failed anyway.

        • oldfart May 16th, 2016 at 14:43

Now be fair he was lied to and quit. sound familiar ?

          • clemans May 16th, 2016 at 15:39

no, he lied, he knew they had nothing to do with what they claimed, and he was one of the only ones who tried to tell them not to go to war, they used him because the public supported him, then got rid of him……that is the part that is familiar.

I knew they lied about the tubes….he has to know more than I did.

You turned it around Clemans, don’t beat yourself up for it. I wish more would join you.

Colon Powel lied, and he was crazy enough to go along with their plot to coup, but he wasn’t “batshit crazy”. I sincerely hope he gets the chance to spill some beans before it’s too late.

I think it was batshit crazy to think that the bush administration was worth selling out the troops over…..but greed would work as a replacement for batshit crazy. He out his own interests over the nation. Selling out your nation seems batshit to me.

Hard to tell what’s in his head. It has to be tough prioritizing all the high crimes he’s aware of in the name of “We the People”.

My one real brush with fame was shaking Nixon’s hand when he was running for the White House. I had no idea who he was, just some guy people were excited to see and press flesh with. That was the high point in my relationship with Nixon.

Reagan was one I figured for a disaster from day one. Unfortunately, I was right.

I was in England while Reagan was running and I didn’t get a lot of information on him before he was elected. I attend a lot of rallies and have seen several who have run for president….John Edwards shook my hand and a few others….sometimes it is exciting…..I think it is contagious from the crowds. It was great seeing Obama, but after Edwards turned out to be a dog I sort of don’t get as excited about it.

I’ve always been a suspicious old man. It’s just taken a while for the hairline to play catch up.

you are only as old as you feel.

So tell us, Ben. Before someone sat you down and talked you into being the spokesman for their grift, how much political news did you actually have an interest in?

Anyone who’s isn’t on the crazy train with Uncle Ben and his cronies is considered a “left wing radical”. Even if they’re dead. But don’t forget, he’s not judging, he’s a christian.

He has got to be a big embarrassment for his religion, the Seventh Day Adventists.
