    Obviously a mental case.

    • Mensa Member May 9th, 2016 at 22:15

      Seems like it.

But there is no shortage of Christian militants and nationalists.

‘Bryan’s letter, in part, demanded that the mayors no longer honor the votes of anyone who is homosexual, Muslim, socialist, communist, atheist, or who worships any God other than Jesus Christ, and that anyone fitting the aforementioned descriptions be required to “exit.”‘

Sounds a lot like the Republican National Party’s Platform, huh?

    >> Bryan further admitted to authoring an ad that ran twice in the Thrifty Nickel last year seeking a $23 million loan to raise a Christian army to overthrow the U.S. government,

    The Thrifty Nickel!

I’m sure lots of Thrifty Nickel readers have $23 million sitting around.

Too flippin’ funny, the Thrifty Nickle huh?
We know he is not a Mensa Member.

Beard, religious nut job, he doesn’t have pigmented skin?!?!?!? Whaaaaaaat?!?!

    • Mensa Member May 9th, 2016 at 22:29

      A beard says a lot about a man…

and none of it is good.

      • Red Mann May 9th, 2016 at 22:34

        Hey!

      • whatthe46 May 9th, 2016 at 22:37

depends on what side of the world you’re from or your religion at least in the minds of bigots.

      • Bunya May 9th, 2016 at 23:04

I disagree. Many Hasidic Jews wear beards. So do many law abiding Muslims – none of whom has bombed a clinic or killed a doctor.

        • whatthe46 May 9th, 2016 at 23:28

and mensa’s post is exactly what’s wrong with people. judging a book by it’s cover. women thinking ted bundy was this handsome white guy, when underneath, he was nothing more than an evil psychopath. but, a white guy with a beard would have been judged harshly, and meant absolutely no harm.

          • clemans May 10th, 2016 at 06:13

most of us do judge a book by its cover on some things at least. It seems silly to do so about beards but then it is probably silly for most things.

I would have never thought Bundy was good looking, shaved or not. My grandpa wore a beard, and he was awesome.

The man in this story is mentally ill it seems and shaved or not, he still would appear batshit crazy.

What?! Beards are very common in my country. They say nothing special about the man. Are they different in America?

        • whatthe46 May 10th, 2016 at 01:24

nope. only if you’re prejudice. prejudging someone is never a good thing. he’s prejudging someone because they wear a beard. it’s plain stupid.

          • Gina Bousquet May 10th, 2016 at 18:26

            It’s not good really…

        • fahvel May 10th, 2016 at 03:02

don’t let mensa confuse you – he has some funny ways of seeing things. I’m so handsome that I am required to shave but beards are ok. :-)

          • Bunya May 10th, 2016 at 09:56

I think I saw you once walking down the street. You had a hood over your head to keep the pretty women from swarming you.

            • Gina Bousquet May 10th, 2016 at 18:26

That must be our friend fahvel! :)

          • Gina Bousquet May 10th, 2016 at 18:25

LOL Mon ami fahvel, can you give me the address of good French news sites? I only go to Le Monde.

        • clemans May 10th, 2016 at 06:16

morning Gina. I don’t think beards are so common in the US, but some men have them.

          • Gina Bousquet May 10th, 2016 at 18:20

Hi dear! All disqus messages entering my email box as spam, sorry for the delay! I love them. They are pretty common here. I remember American hippies used to have them. :)

            • clemans May 10th, 2016 at 20:25

I like beards too, on men with the face to carry them off.

              • Gina Bousquet May 10th, 2016 at 20:30

                Yes, that’s it! :)

        • William May 10th, 2016 at 06:28

Actually yes. You’re either going to sing a song about a sharp dressed man or get delayed at the airport.

          • Gina Bousquet May 10th, 2016 at 18:21

My oldest son has a beard. He’s frequently in the US, on business and on vacation, no problem at the airports… :)

      • Ed VanDyke May 10th, 2016 at 03:00

Maybe we should start beard profiling.. Maybe we coulda stopped Kazinski. But McVeigh still would have slipped by us. We better get on it soon, before December brings that red clad socialist secretly distributing slave-produced goods into everyone’s homes, along unregistered flight plans… ;)

        • bpollen May 10th, 2016 at 04:20

I hear things. I hear bad things. I hear bad things about plaid… and gingers.

      • Larry Schmitt May 10th, 2016 at 08:49

Only thing a beard says about a man is that he didn’t shave.

Been listening to the Firesign Theater, have we?

      • bpollen May 10th, 2016 at 15:46

Glad somebody caught the reference. I haven’t been listening lately, but I have listened to them so many times, they appear in my thoughts like they live in my head. Now, come in out of the corn-starch and dry your mukluks by the fire.

Mine too, but I hate to use it with people I like.

Unfortunately, my family doesn’t maintain such lofty principles.

The fact he put an ad in the local Penny Saver for 23 million shows he is either crazy or just seeking attention from other good “Xhritians” like him who want to take the country back before a woman takes over where a black man left off.

Obvious response; cut down all the oak trees within a one mile radius of any court house.
