Koch: ‘It’s possible’ Clinton preferable to a Republican

Posted by | April 24, 2016 08:16 | Filed under: Politics

Charles Koch may prefer Hillary Clinton to a Republican this time around.

Koch, the CEO of Koch industries, made the comment to ABC News’ Jonathan Karl for an interview airing on ABC’s This Week.Koch and his brother, David, and their associated groups plan to spend nearly $900 million on the 2016 elections.

The comment came after Karl asked about former President Bill Clinton’s term, to which Koch said Clinton was “in some ways” better than George W. Bush.

“As far as the growth of government, the increase in spending, it was two-and-a-half times under Bush that it was under Clinton,” he said.

That is the nicest way I have ever heard a billionaire say,
that the current republican contenders suck…

Is Hill that far to the right…???

    • mea_mark April 24th, 2016 at 08:58

I see her as center right. America just doesn’t realize how far to the right they have really been pushed.

    • Kick Frenzy April 24th, 2016 at 13:38

Think about her positions on pretty much anything and everything from before this campaign started.
Like, when she talked so positively about guns back in ’08 or when she pushed fracking around the world, as well as domestically.
Or when she was against gay marriage, or insisted that the TPP was the gold standard of international trade deals.
Think of all her votes for war and whether she has ever once voted against military engagement.

Think of all that, but take away the name “Hillary” and replace it with “Bush” or “Trump” or “Cheney”… then consider, would you be able to tell the difference?

      • DogsRgoodpeople April 24th, 2016 at 15:59

no , I couldn’t tell the difference . she wasn’t for same sex marriage until it became crystal clear the political winds were blowing strongly in that direction. the military industrial profit is a runaway train that has been thrown every conceivable fuel by the gop hawks, E N A B L E D
(Enabled definition, to make able; give power, means, competence, or ability to; authorize:)
by the spineless Democratic party left by the Clintonian mindset .
I can only give you one up vote kick, or i’d give you more

the Koch Brothers are not what this nation needs right now…their darkness is spreading across this nation one state at a time…the Koch Brothers need to be shunned and ignored, and forced from our political process…they are not patriots, they are not worthy of the American label…they are drowning our voices with their assorted front groups, all the while intimidating the IRS…They own the Freedom Caucus in our Congress…they Own most of the republican governors…they own a bunch of State Houses…this is not going to end well if these guys are allowed much more power…Believe NOTHING of what comes out of their pie holes….

Not sure if they are serious or are they trying to sink her?

    • Tiffany Miller April 24th, 2016 at 10:53

trying to sink her the koch brothers are 100% evil with no redeeming values

    • mea_mark April 24th, 2016 at 11:04

Sink her and the GOP at the same time? More like a subtle way of telling the GOP that they need to nominate someone ‘outside the box’ and not one of the candidates running. GOP convention is going to be very interesting this year.

      • Suzanne McFly April 24th, 2016 at 11:07

I think even with all these theatrics, the drone of a rich white male crying about the state of his victim-hood will still bore me to tears. I hope otherwise tho of course.

  7. shindigg April 24th, 2016 at 09:32

900 million dollars is a mere bag of shells for them pay for their reverse psychology campaign. These mean spirited, cheap labor, neurotic trust fund baby billionaires are untrustworthy.
Of course, with neither Trump nor Cruz being qualified to be the leader of the free world, things get a little tricky. But Snot Walker, their main boy from Wisconsin there, wasn’t qualified either, and that didn’t stop the Kock Brothers from supporting him originally until that became just too ridiculous of an idea.
I do not trust a word they say when they say they may be for Hillary. Hillary, despite what her naysayers will tell you, is FOR worker’s rights. The Kocks, not so much…..

  8. DogsRgoodpeople April 24th, 2016 at 10:06

if this doesn’t alarm politically astute democrats i don’t know what would. they put more money into politically connected hands than probably any other billionaires . they think hillary would be better than the billionaire or the religious zealot of their own party? yeah, i think they may have that right.

    Madam (Status Quo) President

    • mistlesuede April 24th, 2016 at 18:01

Ugh. You mentioned Paladino. I just lost my dinner appetite. He is currently being abusive to an eighth grade male student who is running against him to get the seat he should never have gotten on the Buffalo school board.

  10. mistlesuede April 24th, 2016 at 18:07

Hillary will do the opposite of what they want on global climate change. The Koch brothers have their tentacles all over the place trying to make sure those efforts fail. I think they generally see that the two top candidates of the GOTP suck and are stating it. What have they got to lose? Money? Ah hahahaha.

  11. jybarz April 25th, 2016 at 01:16

Thank you very much for your very kind endorsement, Mr Kock!
