Tim Tebow eyes for open FL House seat

The former football star may want a job, and he’s got name recognition.

Earlier this week, Rep. Ander Crenshaw, 71, a House appropriator from Jacksonville, Fla., announced his plan to retire at the end of his term this year. It was not expected…

Republican sources told the Examiner that they are reaching out to Tebow in hopes he will consider a bid. They are even quietly pulling together a potential campaign team that he could use for the upcoming August 30 primary. “We could hit the ground running, immediately,” said the source.

Based on what I know about Tim Tebow, his personal beliefs are mostly in line with social conservatives.

But up to this point, the man has never had a single negative word to say about anyone except himself. Polite, civil people do not seem to have much of a future in the GOP.

    This will be interesting.

Or in politics in general, for that matter.

We will find out if he can be bought.

It will be. He can probably do the job, or at least learn to, but how would be feel about attacking someone?

He wears his religion on his sleeve. Too much Tim, I don’t want to know about your beliefs.

Sad to say, in Jacksonville it is common to wear your religious beliefs on your sleeve and he may win.

Oh yea, he’ll be a shoo in up there…:(

He’d definitely win. All he has to do is replay that speech he gave after the Ole Miss loss over and over again.

Just what Florida needs…another politician who’s been hit in the head a few thousand times….he’ll fit right in.
Thankfully, he’s not in my district.

He may not be in your district, but they all affect all of us. When they get bought by lobbyists and vote for special interest bills (which is virtually all of them) that affects us all.

Republicans don’t have to be bought half the time…they have a herd mentality and can’t help but follow each other around.

          It’s the smell of money.
