I love that “…when the grid goes down” crap…like all of a sudden life will end… dogs will be marry cats, women using the men’s room, and rain will fall toward the sky….
Any excuse to dress up like a soldier and play war…fkn children…I went to a war once, it changed my life forever…what out what you wish for…

    • Larry Schmitt April 9th, 2016 at 16:28

If the grid goes down, they’re in the same boat as the rest of us. They can’t eat bullets.

      • Mike April 9th, 2016 at 16:37

Think about it Larry…you and I were able to live most of our lives without the internet, social media, TV, elec, or even a car…(my dad had a 56 Dodge pk up) I thought I had a great childhood, now I find out we were teetering on the edge of a zombie apocalypse

    • Suzanne McFly April 9th, 2016 at 16:34

These weak little bone heads wouldn’t know what to do in a real war scenario, if they really had any nerve they would of served in the military. Either they never tried to enlist or they were rejected, which ever it was the military is that much better without them.

      • William April 9th, 2016 at 16:37

        BINGO.

      • Mike April 9th, 2016 at 17:11

There’s a reason all those battle hardened Generals you see on TV are apprehensive about going to war. Everyone comes away wounded and broken…everyone.

        • Suzanne McFly April 9th, 2016 at 17:18

I served during the first Gulf War in an air squadron. I didn’t see any action but I know war risks lives and should be used as last resort.

Delusional goobers. “Grid goes out”..and then they’ll be begging for the government to help

    • CandideThirtythree April 9th, 2016 at 22:34

They already do, every time there is a little storm, the first ones out begging for government help are the tattooed and toothless rednecks.

  3. William April 9th, 2016 at 16:30

    Militia. Ha,Ha,Ha,Ha,Ha.

  4. Suzanne McFly April 9th, 2016 at 16:35

This group is the #1 customer of adult diapers.

    • William April 9th, 2016 at 16:36

      …and tin foil.

      • Larry Schmitt April 9th, 2016 at 16:48

I actually saw someone on another site correct the use of the term “tin foil,” saying that tin isn’t used anymore.

        • William April 9th, 2016 at 16:52

Yeah I guess it’s all aluminum foil now. *sigh* Kids today have no respect for tradition.

          • Larry Schmitt April 9th, 2016 at 16:56

I wonder if aluminum provides the same protection against radio waves and gamma rays as tin does.

            • William April 9th, 2016 at 16:59

Good question. Let’s ask Glenn Beck.

              • Larry Schmitt April 9th, 2016 at 17:02

He would have chalkboard diagrams to show which is better. And you’d get dizzy trying to follow it, and it would all lead to George Soros.

            • Hirightnow April 9th, 2016 at 17:35

Oh, they’d like you to THINK THAT IT DOES!

So it’s like when people call a refrigerator an ice box. Just a holdover from their youth. We had an actual ice box for a few years, and continued to call the fridge that for a while.

                • Hirightnow April 9th, 2016 at 17:59

When Iwas a child, iceboxes could KILL YOU!
These kids these days, with their easy-open doors and their ice makers…

                  • Larry Schmitt April 9th, 2016 at 18:07

There was a campaign many years ago to get people to remove the doors from their old fridges in their yards, because kids would get in and close the door, and couldn’t get out. Any number of kids died that way.

                    • Hirightnow April 9th, 2016 at 18:09

We were actually warned about them as children, along with an explanation as to why they were dangerous.I saw more than a few discarded in the woods.

                    • oldfart April 9th, 2016 at 18:13

Quite the few also bearing the name “norge” (ala bill murray)
I remember the commercials as well “taping a block” to the door…
They kept the beer cold but they were most certainly death traps.

                    • Hirightnow April 9th, 2016 at 18:15

I vaguelyremember my grandparents having one (it was a pain to pull open with that handle), but I can’t recall the brand.
I also remember those aluminum ice trays with the lever, although I don’t think anyone dies from using them…

                    • oldfart April 9th, 2016 at 18:21

Yeah, the handles would snap off and break…
My dad said the water was too hard… ;)

                    • Hirightnow April 9th, 2016 at 18:24

                      +1 Dad joke.

                      Just sayin’

            • amersham46 April 9th, 2016 at 20:19

does not matter , it protects the stupid inside just as well

            • Jack E Raynbeau April 10th, 2016 at 00:31

It’s been aluminum since WWII and the tin foil hat has been around for 90 years. Perhaps it’s not working. They do seem crazy.

Are you aware of the tab in each end of the foil box?

        • whatthe46 April 9th, 2016 at 16:57

          that’s funny.

          • Larry Schmitt April 9th, 2016 at 16:58

Some of these people are so literal, and they’re serious about it. I’m literal when it’s funny.

        • amersham46 April 9th, 2016 at 20:25

I am starting a line of “superior protection with a Praseodymium, Thulium alloy’ hats (one size fits all) and will market them thru survival magazines for $89.99 including delivery . I have had several inquires already

          • Buford2k11 April 9th, 2016 at 20:57

I found that a common aluminum colander works well in a pinch, and during most thunderstorms…avoid the plastic ones tho…they melt…

            • amersham46 April 9th, 2016 at 21:57

You may not be aware of it but metal colanders are the official headwear of the Pastafarians

              • Buford2k11 April 9th, 2016 at 22:24

ok, then…ya can polish it up fer the festivities and do double duty…

“David Nantz carefully pushed aside a grouping of bare branches at the tree line of Echo Lake Park, then stood still. He listened for movement”
Good work patriot. Remember Jade Helm.

    • Roctuna April 9th, 2016 at 19:10

I still giggle when I think of “No gestapo in Bastropo”

    • Buford2k11 April 9th, 2016 at 20:53

Jade Helm? isn’t that Alamo’s sister? oh wait…there are groups out there that are really scary…and well armed…and paranoid…and waiting for their moment…that reminds me, I have to go start digging my bunker…

Between April 1, 2009, and Feb. 1, 2015, and includes violence from both the radical right and homegrown jihadists, finds that a domestic terrorist attack or foiled attack occurred, on average, every 34 days. It also shows that fully 74% of the more than 60 incidents examined were carried out, or planned, by a lone wolf, a single person operating entirely alone. A total of 90% of the incidents were the work of just one or two persons, the study found. https://www.splcenter.org/20150212/lone-wolf-report

I feel such relief that all commenters here treat them as funny nuts, because to my foreign eyes RWNJs armed and playing soldier seem scary… :)

  8. bpollen April 9th, 2016 at 17:13

Because, if there is one thing this country needs, it’s more Bundy Bubbas.

Damn Gubmint, not lettin’ the peeple steal gubmint property without them makin’ a federal case outta it! It’s like teer-a-nee!

    Here’s a compromise:

Let’s build Trump’s trillion dollar wall but put it on the Mason Dixon Line.

It would save us Blue States a fortune.

  10. Tommie April 9th, 2016 at 19:44

When you are scared of “White Genocide” and listen to Trump speak, while having a half black President, this is what happens!

  11. amersham46 April 9th, 2016 at 20:16

Lets go play Rambo , but let somebody start shooting back with real bullets, they would be 3 counties away before they stopped running

    • Dwendt44 April 10th, 2016 at 01:03

I often wonder how many of these ‘wannabees’ had any real combat experience. I’m betting that most were clerks, food service, and jeep mechanics.

  12. fahvel April 10th, 2016 at 05:24

a lot of amusing comments about a collective of really dangerous psychopaths – their need to look like big kochs in bad khaki should be something any sane person should be fighting to prevent – not just make fun of them.
