HRC: Republican extremism responsible for Trump’s ‘racist campaign’

In a speech to law students in Madison earlier this afternoon, Hillary Clinton made her strongest statements yet about the racism and extremism which is now part of the Republican brand. “Now every day, another Republican bemoans the rise of Donald Trump,” Clinton mocked. They say a Trump nomination will set the party back decades. I…

    She’s absolutely correct.
The republicans are not interested in our democracy or governing.
They’re only interested in power for the purposes of their corporate agenda.
And if denying peoples rights, deliberately impeding Americans right to vote, engaging in treasonous activities or blatantly stealing elections….so be it.

    Dear Bernie people,

If you don’t vote for Hillary in November, I will blame you every single day and minute we have to suffer president Trump.

    Sincerely,

    homosexual

      Dear Concern Troll,

The supporters of Sen. Sanders are intelligent enough to understand that the #1 priority is to prevent a Republican from occupying the Oval Office, and being in position to select two or more SCOTUS justices over the next 8 years.

We do not need your self-serving admonishments to understand what needs to happen.

      • Homosexual March 28th, 2016 at 21:04

        Arc99,

Considering articles I’ve read recently describing the “Bernie or bust” mentality, I just want to be sure. Have fun!

      • Foundryman March 28th, 2016 at 22:08

Try to watch the rerun of Chris Hayes show tonight. His interview of Susan Saradon where she says she does not think she can vote for Hillary is quite revealing.

        • Homosexual March 28th, 2016 at 22:55

I just watched it. bernie people are so idealistic. its like they don’t realize HALF of america HATES Obama, and those people would like a chance to run the white house, in ADDITION to currently running the senate and the house.

          • William March 28th, 2016 at 23:12

Awwwwww. Concern troll is still butthurt…poor baby.

            • Homosexual March 28th, 2016 at 23:17

              “butthurt”

thats not LGBT-friendly language. shame on you.

              • William March 28th, 2016 at 23:20

I wouldn’t know, I yield to your own expertise.

                • Homosexual March 28th, 2016 at 23:27

Are you not a literate person living in western civilization? then you should know writing “butthurt” is offensive.

                  “I wouldn’t know”

                  • William March 28th, 2016 at 23:39

The term butthurt goes back to a child crying over a spanking, but I DO see how YOUR mind works.

            “HALF of america HATES Obama”

And we should appease these irrational racist bigots because…?

            • Homosexual March 29th, 2016 at 09:33

Because they control half the government , you have no choice, unless you WANT to give it to Ted Cruz and shut down the federal government??

              • Richard Banville March 29th, 2016 at 09:40

Obama won the election twice. He has 53% approval ratings. Presumably without the support of this “half” of the country you seem to think is so crucial.

The good guys outnumber the bad guys, whether we are represented by Hillary or Bernie.

        • tracey marie March 28th, 2016 at 23:18

she was a nadar fan and now she is bernie fan…no diffrence, both used the Dems for money and exposure and both will never be President

        • mistlesuede March 29th, 2016 at 10:32

I saw that she was going to be on and since I think she is a bit crazy, we decided to start watching what we recorded last night from Masterpiece on PBS.
I am so glad I missed that wackadoodle.

    • jybarz March 28th, 2016 at 22:45

We can say the same to Hillary people.
Bernie is about to do well and so yes I can say the same.
Remember it’s not over till the fat lady sings.

      • Homosexual March 28th, 2016 at 22:46

If Bernie wins the nomination, I promise to vote for him.

      • William March 28th, 2016 at 22:48

But if Bernie gets the nomination, ISIS wins.

        • jybarz March 28th, 2016 at 23:00

          Birds can be overwhelming.
Did you see Tramp was so scared of that Fox bird Megyn?
          ?

But Donald has WORDS!. Many words, incredible words, so many words, you’ll be tired of words. Believe me, lots of words.

            • StoneyCurtisll March 29th, 2016 at 00:53

              Now that is Funny~!!

        • tracey marie March 28th, 2016 at 23:20

He is a pacifist, and he will send other peoples kids to fight ISIS when he refused to fight for America himself

          • William March 28th, 2016 at 23:32

Yeah that was actually a joke. I don’t dislike Bernie or Hillary. I wish there was some sort of Hillary Bernie hybrid. Bernie’s seething hate for the Wall St. arseholes who bought this country down, and Hillary’s foreign policy experience. I think Bernie is honest, and his heart is in the right place. I like Hillary as well. The important thing is that we stick together and vote in Nov. As we watch the GOP being bought to their knees by a misogynistic rodeo clown, there is a rare opportunity to put a Dem in the White house, recapture some legislative seats and enjoy a decade or two of quality leadership while we watch the GOP recover from this mess. The important thing is to vote. Remember. Bernie and Hillary are debating actual world events, domestic and foreign policy, while the GOP candidates are debating d!ck size and trashing each others wives. This is the time to take advantage of the comic book scenario the republican party has bought upon themselves. It used to be that the world was shaking their collective heads when the GOP and McCain tried to install a moron as VP. That pales in comparison with the freak show going on now. Lets take advantage of it and stick together. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/b5f9e02187441a571b63b26c174f2999b147fcd23d1c30fce25c92b2b35b88cf.jpg

            • tracey marie March 28th, 2016 at 23:35

I have always said I will vote for the Dem nominee.

              • William March 28th, 2016 at 23:46

I already assumed that. The Democratic party is conducting itself very well during this cycle. We have two experienced and worthwhile candidates. Meanwhile the GOP is torn between a reality show host, and a religious nut job. They are trying to get rid of Trump altogether, and Cruz has zero colleagues who support him. This doesn’t get any better.

          • William March 28th, 2016 at 23:35

BTW, as far as being a pacifist, you have a point. However not all noble battles involve armies. Some of the most worthwhile fights take place on our own streets. I happily concede that what Bernie and his generation did furthered the cause of freedom more than my years of military service. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/69b6c17cf9a99e474ad7c03a5b2d0eec5641982eaa044165b2a065630d93102b.jpg

            • tracey marie March 28th, 2016 at 23:37

I believe bernie is hypocritical on this issue.

              • William March 28th, 2016 at 23:42

I respect your opinion on that, and I see your point.

            • jybarz March 29th, 2016 at 06:54

              AMEN!

          • Richard Banville March 29th, 2016 at 09:04

Huh? Bernie has been fighting for America his entire life.

          • Um Cara March 29th, 2016 at 09:10

He is a pacifist, and he will send other peoples kids to fight ISIS when he refused to fight for America himself

Interesting perspective from a liberal, thank you for sharing. So the fact that Hillary volunteered for combat is one of the things that puts her over the top for you? When did that happen?

            • tracey marie March 29th, 2016 at 10:43

              lol, deflection alert.

        • StoneyCurtisll March 29th, 2016 at 00:51

          LOL~!

    • StoneyCurtisll March 29th, 2016 at 00:50

What you do in your life is your business..
I’m gonna vote for who ever doesn’t have a ‘R’ in front of there name..

    • Glen March 29th, 2016 at 12:05

It’s worth noting that most of the Bernie supporters who wouldn’t vote for Clinton probably expect that Clinton would win against Trump anyway, or are Independents who are more likely to support Trump than Clinton.

I don’t suggest that either idea is a good one, but it’s probably how their thinking is going.

Most “Bernie people”, from what I can see, actually would vote for Clinton.

That being said, if the best argument you can put forward is “you’d better vote for Clinton, because otherwise we get Trump”, then you might want to spend some time coming up with more solid arguments (and there are lots of them) – you won’t win them over by pointing out the threat of Trump.

(you don’t need to win me over, for two reasons – I’m Australian, so I can’t vote, and if I could, I’d support Clinton in the election without a second thought)

Trump is the proud culmination of Republican foolishness during the past two election cycles.

The GOP is simply reaping what they have been sowing over the past several years — i.e., conspiracy-touting nut jobs such as Bachmann and Paul (both), … the irrational tea party-embracing fanaticism of Cruz, … the union-hating conservatism of Walker and Christie, … theocracy-embracing religious extremists such as Huckabee, Santorum, Cruz, and Carson, … proud bigots such as Steve King and Jeff Sessions, … and the clueless, vacuous poseurs such as Perry, Palin, Cain, and Jeb!.

    • Roctuna March 29th, 2016 at 08:32

Excellent categorical summary of the republican fools. I’d only add that they’ve been sowing the seeds of hate since 1980 when Reagan declared govm’t was the problem.

    this

    • StoneyCurtisll March 29th, 2016 at 00:46

      That hits home….

“…every time Bernie and Hillary fans start fighting it’s like my parents are getting divorced all over again and Hitler might be my new stepdad.”

Indeed. Even as the Republican Primary rages away like an uncontrollable dumpster fire, off to the side, the Democratic Primary Silly Season is in full swing online. It’s the same every four years: Gore vs Bradley, Dean vs Kerry, Dean vs Clark, Obama vs Edwards vs Hillary, etc. The Silly Season includes idiotic accusations lobbed against fellow Democrats (often repeated from sources like Drudge), threats of holding your breath and not voting if your candidate doesn’t win, etc.

      • mistlesuede March 29th, 2016 at 10:22

Having someone tell me that I should not be allowed to vote (even though I will support either candidate), because Hillary is my choice, is the mind numbing stuff I’ve encountered recently on this site. I could mention a lot more, but won’t go there. I left Raw Story because of that crap, so seeing it here is disgusting since at one time we were pretty much almost completely free from it.

        • FDRliberal March 29th, 2016 at 10:37

“Having someone tell me that I should not be allowed to vote (even though I will support either candidate), because Hillary is my choice, is the mind numbing stuff…”

Unfortunately that’s part of the Silly Season. People lose perspective. I try to focus on what the candidate says, rather than on the words of a given candidate’s most extreme followers.

          • mistlesuede March 29th, 2016 at 10:43

            Exactly.
I spend a lot more time reading various websites for election coverage and comment a lot less when it is regarding the Democratic primary. Can’t stomach what follows.
            BTW, good to see you.

    • mistlesuede March 29th, 2016 at 10:24

      Exactly!
