    Okay, here’s me chance:
As a Mod here, I come across a LOT of foul language (I’m looking at you, whatthe…), a LOT of personal attacks (“You libterds are so…”) and a lot of dissenting opinions phrased in “not-so-nice” ways.
    So.
I would appreciate your input as to what you, as this site’s profligate commenters, would want me to pay mind to.
Do I instantly ban those that use ‘less than nice ‘language’? (“You stupid liberals…)”

Do I pay no mind to those of us who, shall we say, take things “too far”, verbally, because I agree with them?
I’ve been given Spiderman-like powers, here (“With great responsibility…”, etc.)…and I want to make the main man proud of his site!
But I also realize that people say dirty words, and insult those that disagree with them, and on occasion call Donald Trump a cheese-rapist.

    So.

I want your input as to how I should, as your {GODLIKE MODERATOR ABOVE YOUR PETTY REPROACH} should work to improve this site for you, the user.
    Any input is welcome.

Take language in context and trolls as well.

      • Hirightnow March 3rd, 2016 at 20:54

        I try.
But when someone I agree with refers to someone I DON’T agree with in (less than appropriate) terms, it’s difficult.
Look; we’re all adults here, but….how would you feel if your kid referred to Trump as an “A$$-licking opportunist intent on raping America until its pu$$y hurt!”?
And the reply is “S*ck my C*CK,LI?BTERD!!!!”
(Can you see the conflict here?)

        • tracey marie March 3rd, 2016 at 20:57

I have not seen that here.

          • Hirightnow March 3rd, 2016 at 21:00

Not in so many words…but I’ve approved comments that contained the same language as those I’ve deleted…I’m just asking for input from those people that make this site what it is.

            • tracey marie March 3rd, 2016 at 21:02

You have been around here, you know what the posters are like. I believe you want to stop any language you disagree with. The examples you used I have not seen, that does not mean it does not occur. There is a fine line, sometimes cursing isn;t a bad thing, but I agree using certain words to inflame or just to say them can be jarring.

              • Hirightnow March 3rd, 2016 at 21:12

We’re all adults (I hope…apologies to those cutesy Trump girls if they’re reading this), so language isn’t ahuge problem…
                But ask yourself this:
How would you react if a government worker used this language?
Or a child you were responsible for?
                Or a friend?
(Anyway, I’m just using this post to get opinions from people…not to judge.)

                • tracey marie March 3rd, 2016 at 21:21

I know what you are doing and it is good to reach out. We are civil here most of the time, I am guilty of using language that was unnecessary in the past. I try to censor myself, so I do understand what you are asking and saying

                  • Hirightnow March 3rd, 2016 at 21:26

NEVER hold back on your opinion…
Just…make it palatable to the masses; remember, this is Alan Colmes’ site; we reflect upon him..that liberal son of a b[signal interrupted:please try again later]

                  • Alan March 4th, 2016 at 11:21

We have much better/civil discourse here than most sites and our mods, who work for little other than “thanks” are the reason.

                    • tracey marie March 4th, 2016 at 12:57

I agree, I love your site and the mods.

                    • Buford2k11 March 4th, 2016 at 19:04

You have a classy joint here Alan…Keeping it Real, is important and it is here that I find it…

              • Hirightnow March 3rd, 2016 at 21:17

And I DO NOT want to stop any language that I disagree with…I’m just aiming for a civil discussion.

                • tracey marie March 3rd, 2016 at 21:19

I came across harsher than I meant to, my phrasing was poor.

                  • Hirightnow March 3rd, 2016 at 21:22

Like I said, your input is appreciated
(If I took offense at every little thing someone said to me, I’d have gone on a killing spree years ago..)

                • Alan March 4th, 2016 at 11:19

If you deem the language inappropriate, let it be bye bye regardless of political position.

          • whatthe46 March 4th, 2016 at 19:08

            i haven’t.

        • oldfart March 4th, 2016 at 01:28

That example you just showed looks pretty cut and dry to me…bye bye time. The operative word here is adult. you have been here far longer than I and I for one would trust your judgement. Here’s a modest suggestion, Ask Alan what his limits are and abide by them…The General is coming and it’s gonna be messy !!!

    • William March 4th, 2016 at 01:49

      JUs’ sayin.

    • Buford2k11 March 4th, 2016 at 19:00

ok…I apologize for some of my colorful metaphors…I mean no disrespect, and only use some words for effect…damn it I like it here…you have been tolerant, I will give you that…and sometimes I do push the envelope…and there are some really good commenters here…Plus, I try not to take myself too seriously anyway…

    • whatthe46 March 4th, 2016 at 19:07

      thanks a LOT!
