Maybe all the evangelicals in the U. S. could show the pope and lead the way by …
What the hell am I thinking? They’re more intransigent than the pope!
Note to self … no speaking or posting prior to first pot of coffee.

I am amazed that you are still so hopeful and upbeat when it seems like you are surrounded by the grumpy old men from the Muppet’s lol.

“grumpy old men from the Muppet’s” … hah, love it!
Both my wife and my boss help keep me sane. Boss is off today for her mom’s birthday so I foresee a number of breaks today to spend time with the wife.

Ha! Does “Catholics for choice” actually believe the Pope is interested in “saving babies”??? These people really need to open their eyes. The pontiff doesn’t care if a fetus dies – as long as the mother dies along with it. Hell, they’re not even anti-abortion, but their “pro-life” bullshit sure brings in the cash … and that’s what they really worship.

“…urged Pope Francis Wednesday to allow people to use contraception or let
women have abortions to protect themselves against the Zika virus.” why on earth would make a plea to a mere mortal on what you should do concerning your own life, whom by the way you will never meet and who will never send you one red cent to help you care for a disabled child should you have one. how on earth do people let religion run their lives is beyond my comprehension.

if all these catholic women were actually practicing the teachings of the church, all you’d see at sunday mass was a crowded room full of children while mom is pregnant again. so obviously they don’t really need the permission, it’s more like his blessing.

Raised catholic, fortunately discarded pretty much all the indoctrination by 14. Except for a few future nuns & priests, no one paid any attention to the church teaching on sex.
Hell, the only sex-ed we got consisted of “don’t do it”!
