If she upset people, as an artist she did her job. That’s what art does to some people. It makes them think, and some people don’t like that.

    • whatthe46 February 8th, 2016 at 09:57

and the cons hate to think. at least when it comes to fairness.

  2. Patty K. February 8th, 2016 at 09:05

Conservatives ‘freak’ at ANYTHING that isn’t in their little wheel house.

    • Mensa Member February 8th, 2016 at 09:43

They are brown! They aren’t wearing prairie dresses! They are dancing!

Al from Bangor Maine is still probably shaking in rage.

  3. Carla Akins February 8th, 2016 at 09:07

The went all racist and nasty on twitter.

    • Larry Schmitt February 8th, 2016 at 09:13

Isn’t that what Twitter is all about?

    • whatthe46 February 8th, 2016 at 09:56

and they didn’t need Beyonce to go there. hell, they went all racist and ignorant on the anniversary of Martin’s death.

      • ChocolateGirlWondah February 8th, 2016 at 11:32

        They go there everyday.

    • granpa.usthai February 8th, 2016 at 10:08

should have been awake the day after POTUS Obama won the NC primary in 2008.

    • tracey marie February 8th, 2016 at 11:11

Of course they did, that is why #blackslivesmatter is necessary.

  4. Mensa Member February 8th, 2016 at 09:41

Who spends that much time interpreting Beyonce’s dancers’ outfits?

    • nola878 February 8th, 2016 at 12:18

Not I! I was too busy enjoying the bevy of beauties!

  5. granpa.usthai February 8th, 2016 at 10:05

I think their outfits are terrific!

but in all fairness to WHITE republiKon Kristians (whose country we occupy by their grace and mercy alone [snicker snicker cough throat clear]) maybe next year they could have a kross burning and a double lynching on each goal post at the same time? Then the Klan could do a ‘whoop de do da’ dance across the field to form a big compressed circle at midfield and the world could watch via remote cameras as to how close a DPRK thermonuke comes to hitting the target from their new satellite positioning system?

When a group is held down for hundreds of years white people should hardly be shocked when they quit waiting for equality to be simply handed to them. It seems like so many young black men have been killed by police and the day just goes on, we have accepted it as a community. People who literally have a stage are finally using it. Beyonce has always been one of the most respected entertainers just like her husband Jay-Z. This is something that needs to be done, look at our politics right now, large segments of the population wants a revolution because we can no longer count on our career politicians working to represent all of us.

Gee, that went right over my head. I was just impatiently waiting for the second half to start.

  8. mistlesuede February 8th, 2016 at 11:09

The only performance that was good besides Denver’s, was Lady Gaga. She sang the national anthem beautifully!

  9. Foundryman February 8th, 2016 at 11:41

I seen right away that the entire halftime show was about peace, love, equality and acceptance and knew the wacko right wing would be a howling about it.

  10. rg9rts February 8th, 2016 at 12:47

TOOOOOO MANY half naked black women for the reichwing to handle at once

  11. CgntvDssdnt February 8th, 2016 at 12:49

glad to see mainstream hip hop people finally get (slightly) political. We need much more of this.

I’m posting this again because they are being quoted–sort of–and they should not be forgotten.

      :)

    • Mike February 8th, 2016 at 18:33

Yea, I’m calling BS too. I watched the game with my nutty Trump lovin brother in law…he was speechless…Black Panther-Pink Pussycat, it’s all the same thing with all that butt twerking going on

    • Mensa Member February 9th, 2016 at 09:47

      >> I would have remembered it…:)

He. He. The Black Panther women wore conservative skirts!

I happen to know a real Black Panther woman, from the day.

She’s now a low-income grandmother who volunteers by reading to kids in our underfunded local school.

I don’t know how she feels about the tribute but I’m sure she wouldn’t mind Beyonce throwing a few dollars her way.

  14. TFJ February 8th, 2016 at 21:32

If that’s the new Black Panther Party where do I sign up!

  15. Mensa Member February 9th, 2016 at 09:44

All the jiggling made me miss Black Panther theme.

I just assumed it was more of Beyonce’s dominatrix theme.

    • Mensa Member February 9th, 2016 at 09:54

But, don’t get me wrong. Beyonce may not be Bobby Seale or Huey Newton but I give her credit for being political. She’s using her fame to promote legitimate issues.

Of course, she’s also insanely wealthy and should use that, too. I’d love to see her do some self-sacrificial philanthropy, too.

  16. cecilia February 9th, 2016 at 14:02

Frankly, I thought Bruno Mars’ dancing was Amazing! I wish I could move like that. I didn’t catch the political overtones in Beyonce’s act, but then I haven’t spent my life making racist rants against human beings.

    • Mensa Member February 9th, 2016 at 20:27

Bruno Mars reminds me of James Brown. He’s not just a singer — he’s a showman.
