These types say this kind of stuff believing they are saying what everyone is thinking. Look at rump, you just know that behind the scenes he is making fun of everyone in his audience, hell sometimes he does it to their faces (“how stupid are the people of Iowa?”). When they realize they do not get the support they felt they would receive, they work in overdrive claiming they were misquoted or your brain does not have the processing ability to understand what he is saying.
