Limbaugh blames Obama for the rise of Trump

Rush Limbaugh was busy doing some damage control on his show today about who exactly is responsible for Donald Trump’s rise on the national political stage, while reassuring his listeners that he, Fox News, and the hardliners on the right hadn’t had a thing to do with it. “It’s Obama’s radicalism that actually begins the process…

Interesting to see Rush distancing himself from Trump. There is no doubt in my mind that a LOT of his listeners are brownshirts for Der Trumpenfuhrer: how will they deal with this cognitive dissonance?
The same way they usually deal with it, I suppose. With an unhealthy dose of Orwellian doublethink. “We love Trump! Trump is all Obama’s fault! He’s a conservative politically incorrect straight-shooter who wants to keep brown people out! He’s an abortion-loving single-payer healthcare liberal plant who wants to destroy the Republican Party and help Hillary get elected! He wants to make America Great and White again!”
They are able to keep all these “thoughts” in their “minds” simultaneously. It’s a wonder that smoke doesn’t come out of their ears.

I don’t really understand the point of this? You’ve got your xenophobic, racist, anti-woman, slime bucket that represents your party so well and now you are what? Embarrassed?
You hated McCain and you hated Romney because they were too statesman-like and were completely useless against President Obama. You said that is why they could not beat the amazing Black man America chose two times. Your voter’s frustration in 2008 gave rise to the teabaggers in 2010. Trump has now taken their mantle and run with it. No one cares what happens to your party now, you did yourselves in.
As Colin Powell once said, “you break it, you own it.”

But it’s much easier to blame Obama, and it make the Koch bros happy and they like to be happy, makes them charitable.

    Limbaugh blames Obama for Trump.
I blame Limbaugh for Rick Scott.
    My ‘blame’ trumps his.

Actually, Skeletor seems rather mild compared to these blowhards…more “run of the mill” evil than the directed malevolence these scum represent.

It couldn’t possibly be the right-wing media engaging in non-stop fear-mongering and describing Obama as “not like us” and his relationship to [insert conservative phobia here] could it? Trumping (heh) up ignorant criminal bigots as heroes (at least until they tell ya one more thing they know about the Negro?) Religious persecution? Scapegoating?

Nah… it’s the guy in the white house, of a different party, who’s responsible for what happens in another party entirely.
