President Obama signed a bill to keep the government open for a few more days.

Obama signed the measure, which funds the government through Dec. 16, just hours before a midnight deadline to avoid a shutdown.

The House passed the spending bill on Friday, one day after the Senate approved the measure.

Republicans and Democrats in Congress are working toward passing a year-long spending bill. But the two sides have been unable to reach a final agreement due a dispute over contentious policy riders.

          Actually, it turned out Good for me. I met a Wonderful Girl. I dated her for three years and then Married her when we were both old enough. That was 51 years ago, BUT, she now has Dementia and I do miss my wife. BUT, again, I do get to take care of her and even through that is difficult, I wouldn’t want anyone else doing it. So, I joke and kid around with other people while life is passing away.

      Even when the government shuts down, and some get furloughed, they still get their paychecks. It’s called taking care of number one.

      At least they kept it going until the 16th. That is the day my wife gets her SS check. Mine doesn’t come until the following week . I guess I’m out of luck. Okay, I know SS keeps coming during a shut down but a Guy has to have his fun.

      Just exactly the tactic you would take if you plan on privatizing as much as possible because thar’s gold in them thar gubmint contracts even if you never do the work!
