Republican Congresswoman: Obama ‘Decided To…Stand Up For ISIS’

Posted by | November 21, 2015 16:00 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

To Ann Wagner of Missouri, if you believe the United States should accept refugees, you’re with ISIS.

Wagner (R-MO) said Friday in an interview with radio station KFTK that President Obama defended the Islamic State and not “the side of freedom” when he criticized Congress members who supported turning refugees away because of security risks.
A bill that would make the screening process for refugees from Iraq and Syria stricter passed the House on Thursday by a veto-proof majority. President Obama had threatened to veto the bill.

Wagner criticized President Obama in the radio interview and said that what Obama had said about the bill “disgusts” her.

“He decided to pick a fight and stand up for ISIS and stand up against the side of freedom and to pick a fight with not just Republicans, but Democrats, over this refugee issue,” Wagner said. “It is a politicization. It is a deflecting measure.”

Really, someone please explain where these RWNJs are breeding? They are multiplying like rabbits, and one bunch is dumber and more outrageous than the last.

      • Red Mann November 21st, 2015 at 23:07

Exactly, decades of lying bullshit from the RightWingNoiseAndLyingMachine has been driving down intelligence and civility. That, and the oligarch sponsored Tea Party making insanity acceptable.

    • Boltorama November 21st, 2015 at 22:08

Looks like they’re a result of inbreeding.

  2. Gina Bousquet November 21st, 2015 at 16:09

It is so outrageous that they can’t really believe what they’re saying, it’s a game between them, who gets to be more of an extremist to woo their base.

    • maggie November 21st, 2015 at 16:16

      • Gina Bousquet November 21st, 2015 at 16:40

I find it so hard to believe their tales… I think I should read about Argentina! :) Brazil is in such a big mess right now too, as we haven’t seen for decades…

        • maggie November 21st, 2015 at 16:43

          • Gina Bousquet November 21st, 2015 at 17:24

Corruption, inflation, joblessness, you name it… not long ago we had no debt, no inflation, economic growth.

    • F_cons November 21st, 2015 at 17:00

Crazy is only the side effect of the hate that has a firm hold, base, platform. Without republicans, imagine where we could be!

    • Lyndia November 21st, 2015 at 17:00

They are in it for the long haul.

And yet another callous Republican politician basks in the media spotlight by spewing ignorant, deliberately-inflammatory, hateful remarks about the POTUS.

    • F_cons November 21st, 2015 at 17:07

Sorry, I tried to post but I used a naughty word, unlike Wagner.

And our lily-livered “MSM” will not utter a word to point out the right’s abject insanity.

  7. Obewon November 21st, 2015 at 16:50

Constitutionally illiterate (R) Ann Wagner of Missouri thinks POTUS Obama is running for reelection again in 2016~. Meanwhile the USA was “not in any sense founded on the Christian religion”-George Washington’s Treaty of Tripoli, ratified by the founders and signed into law by 2nd POTUS John Adams: Our Founding Fathers Were NOT Christians http://www.freethought.mbdojo.com/foundingfathers.html

  8. Tommie November 21st, 2015 at 17:31

These republicans are just hopeless, these refugees are escaping ISIS you “nice” lady!

  9. Americaner Than Thou November 21st, 2015 at 17:34

How does the news keep getting more and more insane? Have we reached peak derp yet? How tall is Bullshit Mountain?

    • Red Mann November 21st, 2015 at 23:02

It’s as high as the depths the Repubs will sink to, no limit.

    • fahvel November 22nd, 2015 at 04:30

very very tall and the usa is going all the way – and it’s sad.

  10. rg9rts November 21st, 2015 at 18:46

No lady …I’m not with ISIS…I’m an american and believe that we have a tradition of taking in those in need…

    • Suzanne McFly November 21st, 2015 at 19:55

      Your being very nice.

      • rg9rts November 21st, 2015 at 19:57

        I always am..well usually….well sometimes ….nah

    • Red Mann November 21st, 2015 at 23:01

The RW motto: “This here’s America, we don’t take care of our own.”

  11. Suzanne McFly November 21st, 2015 at 19:54

I bet there is a high percentage of refugees that would make a much better contribution to our way of life than this sack ever has.

  12. bpollen November 21st, 2015 at 20:04

    As Bill might put it:

“The lady doth project too much, methinks”

  13. Boltorama November 21st, 2015 at 22:07

What is in the water that people in red states drink?

    • CandideThirtythree November 22nd, 2015 at 03:37

Lead among other things, it causes severe mental retardation you know.

      • FatRat November 22nd, 2015 at 14:25

But lead is so sweet tasting. Why else would kids eat paint chips made of lead? Memo to self don’t drink ancient Roman wines. lol

        http://io9.com/5877587/the-first-artificial-sweetener-poisoned-lots-of-romans

Winemakers chose lead containers over brass ones when they noticed the lead pots yielded a sweeter flavor. Columella, a Roman winemaker, explained this away by condemning the properties of brass pots, saying:

For, in the boiling […] brazen (brass) vessels throw off copper rust which has a disagreeable flavor.

A modern attempt to re-create the sapa using lead vessels resulted in a liquid with a lead content of 2,900 parts per billion — one thousand times the acceptable dose in most countries.

  14. Tim Coolio November 21st, 2015 at 22:11

More rightwing fearmongering, it’s all they got,
also I heard Dems might filibuster the bill!

  15. Red Mann November 21st, 2015 at 23:00

I’m ashamed to be an America, the land of the GOP
and I won’t forget the ones that lied to take my rights from me
and I’ll gladly stand up and point at you and I will gladly say
there ain’t no doubt you hate this land, you hate the U. S.A

  16. Allison Renée Alworth November 21st, 2015 at 23:22

To Ann Wagner: They let your family in, didn’t they? They were trying to escape to a better life, weren’t they? It’s the same thing the Syrian refugees want, too. And they don’t like ISIS, either. And they’re going through a thorough screening process. Either you believe that the government is going to screen them very well or not, and if you believe that they won’t do a good job at this, I’d suggest you get out of the government now, because your faith in America ranks up there with ISIS.

  17. Warman1138 November 22nd, 2015 at 01:03

There isn’t a day that goes by without an accusation or a slam on the President, some days it’s mean, other days just plain dumb.

  18. Böcker November 22nd, 2015 at 10:07

Certainly not true. Republicans still can’t stand that a black democrat won the WH not once, but twice.

  19. maggie November 22nd, 2015 at 10:28

yep and she’s still a nut job ;)

  20. Rosa November 28th, 2015 at 01:12

yes I’m sure Obama wants ISIL to come to America and take over the country. People actually believer her? Stop the Hate and Educate. (yourselves)
