Trump: A Stronger Country Would Execute Bergdahl

Donald Trump told radio host John Fredericks earlier this year that if America were strong it would execute Bowe Bergdahl.

“You know in the old days you’d execute Bergdahl,” the real estate mogul told Virginia radio host John Fredericks in April of this year. “You know, when this country was strong and powerful and meant something, you would execute Bergdahl. Now he’s being protected. They said ‘oh well, he had some psychological problems and you know.’”

Trump said in the radio interview that not trading for Bergdahl was “common sense,” calling Bergdahl a “traitor” who he would send back to the Taliban.

“So you know, as far as I’m concerned send Bergdahl back,” he added. “Drop him right in the middle of those characters and they will take care of it.”

And he’s running on improving veteran benefits? How? By executing those who suffer from PTSD and thereby assuring less veterans apply for benefits? That’s his big solution? On second thought, he should run on that. At this point, he has nothing to lose.

A stronger country would have unceremoniously ushered Trump into a jail cell until he dipped into his pocket to pay the creditors he cheated when he walked away from his bankrupt business ventures.

A serious presidential candidate does not make comments about dropping someone in the middle of a group of insurgents. Is anyone actually listening to what this fool is saying? They can’t be, or he wouldn’t still be considered a serious candidate.
