Scott Walker: God Wants Me To Run

Posted by | July 13, 2015 22:00 | Filed under: Politics Religion

Scott Walker says it’s “God’s plan” for him to run.

Walker, who announced his presidential bid on Twitter this morning and will have a launch event later today in Waukesha, has sent an email to activists declaring that his presidential run “is God’s plan for me…

“My relationship with God drives every major decision in my life,” starts the note, which is clearly designed to appeal to Religious Right voters who make up a major part of the GOP base vote, particularly in the early primary states Iowa and South Carolina.

“Our country is at a crossroads and we need a proven conservative leader who is not afraid to fight for what is right — even when it’s not politically expedient,” Walker says. “My decisions are guided by my relationship with God — not by what might win me a few votes.”

Praise be to Gawd for His wisdom in anointing Scott Walker! And now available for purchase, the first piece of Walker ’16 campaign swag — a fine-looking belt buckle, suitable for wear with nicely pressed jeans for appealing to reg’lar folk in Iowa or dressed up with chinos for that all-important Michigan industrial photo-op!

He scares the hell out of me.

I am a survivor of religious evangelicalism. I think I know a bit more about these people than many and this is a guy that should NEVER be allowed into the oval office. He will base decisions on the Bible and not on law or even common sense. At the risk of sounding paranoid, someone like him could launch nuclear war out of some sincere religious belief to further along the ‘end of times’. Just look at his eyes, he’s dead inside.

he’s not religious he is usein religious rhetoric to get the backwards religious vote nothing more perry bachman and a few others said the same thing and they went nowhere it’s just a ploy unless charles and david kock sound like his god..since god has it’s name on money it goes to reason the kock bros would sound like a god to him

Zeus wants Walker to run for president? Another excellent reason for not believing in Zeus.

I absolutely do believe that God did tell Walker, Cruz, Huckabee, Bush, Santorum, etc. to run for President. (I believe he told Trump too, but Trump thinks God is a total loser, and He’s not a as YUGE! as Trump).God loves a good comedy show.

God envies Trump. Just ask Trump.

Oh, that corporate and rich loving fascist theocratic fake christian god that Republican extremists whoreship that enables racism, bigotry, sexism, intolerance, prejudice, discrimination, separatism and general fear and hate mongering—–now that makes sense.

      The scary, angry, vengeful one.

I heard that God wanted him to run, but Walker misunderstood the message, which was that he was to run in a 10K race, not for the office of POTUS.

Republican Jesus must really hate his base because he is always punking them.

Ted Cruz’s Daddy told the Press that God told him his son Teddy should run for the Presidency. Is GOD trying to start a fight in the R-THUG PARTY? Now, Trump is first in line.. guess GOD is making jokes…. not to worry…

The best evidence that there *is’nt* a God, is that HE does not incinerate assholes who claim to speak for Him. Myself, if i want to know waht God thinks, i dont listen to asshats like Walker. I read the Gospels.

Well, Joseph (I trust you aren’t the one with the golden plates), I DO believe in God..I don’t think he is a Democrat or a Republican..I don’t think he endorses politicians..I don’t think he sends messages in dreams and visions to Pat Robertson..and I certainly don’t think he endorses the kind of nastiness, pettiness, cruelty, uncompassion, snideness, that one uniformly finds in 90% of conservatives. (I exclude John Kasich from this from what I know of him and my home state’s former governor, George Pataki; I never voted for Gov. Pataki but he is not nasty, petty, cruel, snide, etc.)

Even God enjoys jokes like Walker.

IF God is so much behind Walker … and Huckabee, etc….how come God does not let the rest of us know about it??? Why is God (in whom I believe) keeping it so quiet??? Why doesn’t Walker start walking..on water..converting water into wine..SHOW ME SOME PROOF? P.S. – Fellow Democrats, let’s organize a phone bank during the Republican state presidential primaries..I am just love this ..in which we call up the Republican imbeciles in places like So.Carolina and Texas, and introduce ourselves as: Hello, Mrs. Dixiejerk, I’m GOD and I’m endorsing ————. He’s MY choice. I hope he’ll be YOURS. I want you to know my enemy..you know who HE is, is supporting——–‘s opponents. I bless you, Mrs. Dixiejerk…IF you vote for———–.
