Not One Republican Candidate Agrees To Address Latino Advocacy Group

Posted by | July 9, 2015 23:00 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

Democratic candidates agreed to appear, but not one Republican.

A spokesperson for the National Council of La Raza, the biggest Latino advocacy group in the United States, says that the organization invited every current Republican and Democratic presidential candidate to their annual convention taking place in Kansas City, Mo., but only the Democrats agreed to come.

That means that none of the GOP candidates — even Donald Trump, who has already claimed the Latino vote — will attend. None of the Latino candidates (Cruz and Rubio) are even showing up, and that just seems kind of impolite.

Slate points out that while presidential candidates don’t always attend the La Raza conference, Republican candidates have spoken at them before, including “every Republican nominee dating back to George H.W. Bush.”

What it doesn’t say is why…

Cruz and Rubio are race traitors so that’s not surprising,
Huckafuck claims Jebus hates Mexicans (it’s in the bible, go look)
The Dump knows most of his workforce will be in the audience.
Aqua Buddha.has a date with Cliven Bundy
Miss Lindsey is getting her hair done that day.
Dopey Doc Carson is speaking at a KKKlan rally
Jindal has already promised to do an exorcism that afternoon but did say Gracias
Frothy plans to pray for them, but can’t attend
Rick “Crotch” Perry can’t leave Texas while under indictment
Scott Walker doesn’t like to get wet
Crispy Creme is getting a tummy tuck that day
Carly is allergic to taco flavored kisses
It’s Pataki’s turn to babysit Kasich
And Jeb’s wife said “Absolutamente no” and threatened to beat him like a piƱata

Well there it is people, all legitimate excuses if you ask me…:(

Maybe Dopey is color blind, that would explain so much.

I vote that for ‘Belly Laugh of the Day’ Mike, (and ALL true!) Now if you’ll excuse me I have to clean the coffee off my keyboard that I blew out my shnoz!

The GOP’s idea of trying to garner support from the Latino community is to munch on some tacos during a photo op.

As far as making any sincere attempt to address issues that concern many Latino leaders at the convention — such as immigration reform, bilingual education, working conditions and wages for migrant farm workers, etc., the most that these POTUS wannabes will provide will be petty insults and snarky rhetoric directed at organizations such as La Raza.

  3. Tommie July 10th, 2015 at 00:23

Thanks to the racist ass comments that Trump made, no wonder he will not show up, but the republicans who stood against Trump, listen to fox news who claims they are a racist cult are to scared to show up. If they are so racist ,why invite republicans since they are mostly whites!

Rumpster is going to Arizona and New Mexico (I think) to give speeches. I would love to see the security detail that will need.

      • Tommie July 10th, 2015 at 10:28

IKR, but those are border states, i’m sure he will have plenty of support also.

        • Suzanne McFly July 10th, 2015 at 11:15

He had to move to a bigger venue, I could not believe that when I heard it. That is Sheriff Arpaio territory though.

It is sad you don’t have to actually visit a place to see how it is, just look at who the politicians are and you will see the mentality shining through.

How’s that GOP reacharound to minorities going? Repubs ramp up minority outreach nationwide ahead of 2016~ http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/republicans-ramp-up-minority-outreach-nationwide-ahead-of-2016/2014/10/24/2e6c3ab8-5870-11e4-bd61-346aee66ba29_story.html
POTUS Obama’s immigration stays for parents of U.S. citizens. Or GOP amnesty?

    • John Tarter July 10th, 2015 at 07:32

And all with the consent of the Congress, unlike Barry.

      • Larry Schmitt July 10th, 2015 at 07:57

I don’t believe that’s right. An executive order means exactly that, he is acting on his sole authority as chief executive, which doesn’t require congressional approval.

        • jybarz July 10th, 2015 at 08:35

          Poor Tart.

          • allison1050 July 10th, 2015 at 09:54

lol Now That’s a good one. Welcome

        • Suzanne McFly July 10th, 2015 at 10:22

He hurt my brain with that comment, I just could not believe he didn’t understand an Executive Order if he has the nerve to comment on it.

          • alpacadaddy July 10th, 2015 at 13:31

            too many moving parts!

            • Suzanne McFly July 10th, 2015 at 19:02

Who helps him walk? Talk? Breath? Eat? We should hurt that person.

His helper must of gone home.

well hell’s bell’s suzanne, his helper wasn’t any help because he too was getting f’s.

                    • Suzanne McFly July 10th, 2015 at 19:50

But the fact that he had to do more than one thing at a time is proof someone was helping, I didn’t say it was a brain surgeon lol

                    • whatthe46 July 10th, 2015 at 19:54

                      lmao!!!

      • Obewon July 10th, 2015 at 09:06

The above GOP Executive Orders were not consented to by congress. That’s why they were Executive Orders. D’oh!

        • allison1050 July 10th, 2015 at 09:54

Ya know that’s too deep for Tater don’t ya?

        • Suzanne McFly July 10th, 2015 at 10:21

Woooo, thanks. i was confused, how can you not know what an Executive Order is? Especially if you are commenting about it. I read his comment three times, I thought I was missing something.

      • whatthe46 July 10th, 2015 at 09:37

why don’t you just stay in your lane?

        • Larry Schmitt July 10th, 2015 at 09:38

And turn your right turn signal off.

      • Mike July 10th, 2015 at 15:12

        Huh…??? EO’s don’t need the approval of congress, that’s why they’re EO’s.

      • rwgate July 10th, 2015 at 16:18

Executive orders don’t require consent from Congress. Nor their approval. All Obama’s order did was re-prioritize who was being deported to criminals.

  5. Larry Schmitt July 10th, 2015 at 04:11

That’s their idea of minority outreach.

    • bpollen July 10th, 2015 at 04:33

Trump is in charge of Latino outreach for the Republican Party. Unfortunately he misread it and has been working on Latino “outrage.” But he’s doing it well!

  6. rg9rts July 10th, 2015 at 06:20

They can afford to ignore this segment of the american people …especially in California

  7. John Tarter July 10th, 2015 at 06:21

Maybe it’s the idea of appearing before a group that calls itself “The Race”. Would candidates appear before a group of white people that had a name like that?

    • Obewon July 10th, 2015 at 09:14

You voted for McCain who appeared at La Raza in 2008. Did your thinking cap come with a guaranteed refund policy? McPalin pictured at La Raza herein. http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2015/07/09/republican_presidential_candidates_skipping_la_raza_convention.html

      • WXYZ July 10th, 2015 at 11:42

Please enlighten me on when the Republican party stated they were in favor of murdering a migrant child. Just once. Nice try for your lemming friends who are incapable of independent thought.

        • whatthe46 July 10th, 2015 at 19:38

they are children. they are alive. they need help, but the GOPissers won’t have any of that, that’s not pro-life. no different than what they are like with American citizens. they are not pro-life they are pro-birth, after that, you and your children can go fk yourselves.

          • Michael Tatum July 11th, 2015 at 11:13

I’m sorry but the Bill of Rights states “LIFE, liberty, and the PURSUIT of happiness”. It doesn’t guarantee you a four bedroom house with a pool while you sit on your ass smoking crack.

            • whatthe46 July 11th, 2015 at 12:37

goes to show your ignorance. so those who need assistance are crack heads.

        • arc99 July 10th, 2015 at 20:09

Party affiliation is not mentioned in this article. My suspicion is that he is not a member of the Democratic party.

In any event, Obewon’s post did not say anything about the entire Republican party. Before lecturing people about independent thought, you should get the hang of it yourself.

In an interview with the Express-News last month, Chris Davis, commander of the militia’s Operation Secure Our Border: Laredo Sector, who is seen in some of the photos, said members would secure the border in a “legal and lawful manner.”

In 21-minute YouTube video that has since been deleted, Davis said: “How? You see an illegal. You point your gun dead at him, right between his eyes, and you say, ‘Get back across the border or you will be shot.'”

“You see an illegal. You point your gun dead at him, right between his eyes, and you say, ‘Get back across the border or you will be shot.'”

Although I’m not condoning this action, that is similar to how North Korea handles the issue. And I must say, they don’t have an immigration problem.

            • F_cons July 11th, 2015 at 11:36

And the best solution is to follow North Korea’s lead! Amazing what passes for “thoughts” from you.

    • tracey marie July 10th, 2015 at 12:12

they do, it is called white supremacists.

    • tracey marie July 10th, 2015 at 12:14

La Raza, it means the spanish ethnicity, your attempts to blunder and lie are as always transparent

  8. Warman1138 July 10th, 2015 at 07:36

It amazes me, simply amazes me to the point of speechlessness…. How many times the GOP contenders can actually shoot themselves in the foot and walk away from it. I used to think that it’s just an act to gather more fat campaign cash and do some pocket lining at the expense of the most ignorant. I’m not so sure now. How can they be that stupid, that unfeeling, that hypocritical, that ignorant and still attempt to move forward when they’re falling backwards. Oh! WTH! I’m going to laugh anyways Bwah! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

    • allison1050 July 10th, 2015 at 09:49

Actually it’s easy for them because no minority has any feelings, thoughts or beliefs. We’re just supposed to fall in line.

      • Warman1138 July 10th, 2015 at 10:23

Yes, they take too many people and peoples for granted and make one of the worst mistakes in strategy. The rationalization of assumption.

  9. jybarz July 10th, 2015 at 08:42

    Bunch of chickenshits!

  10. AnthonyLook July 10th, 2015 at 11:25

Republican outreach is as non existent as their health care policy.
