Gallup: More Americans Identify As Democrats Than Republicans

Posted by | July 3, 2015 12:00 | Filed under: Politics

More Americans say they’re Democrats than say they’re Republicans according to a new Gallup poll.

According to Gallup, “A total of 46% of Americans identified as Democrats (30%) or said they are independents who lean toward the Democratic Party (16%), while 41% identified as Republicans (25%) or leaned Republican (16%). The two parties were generally even during the previous three quarters, including the fourth quarter of 2014, when the midterm elections took place.”

Although the Democrat party fell in the poll over the last three quarters, the Gallup report indicates that the Democrat Party usually edges the Republican party in the polls. In fact, this has been the case for the past 24 years.

This fall in poll for the Republican party is not new, Gallup research reveals that, “Republicans have in the past failed to sustain gains in party affiliation for long.”

“Olds” dying off, no “news” joining = dead party.

        2003 58%
        2004 60%

——–the debt to GDP measure is an indicator of the trouble a country is in. Once it rises above 100%, a country is in BIG TROUBLE.

You’re ignorant that “$5 T+ Intergovernmental Holdings” Are surpluses! And today’s “$13.1 T Public debt”= GOP WARS is 5% borrowed on US asset values in 2010, before USA stock markets tripled! US record 2014 GDP = $17.5 T, not a $13 T dipshit delsuion.

          • johnnybizzoy July 3rd, 2015 at 20:50

Intergovernmental Holdings are not surpluses. More than half of them are IOUs to the Social Security trust fund that we are unlikely to ever pay back. Your “surpluses” will be easy to accomplish once we throw up our hands and stop sending retirees their social security checks.

Your delusional ignorance was preemptively debunked as llnked above. $5 T+ in SS, SSDI & Medicare trustfunds never missed a payment.

              • johnnybizzoy July 4th, 2015 at 00:50

it’s funny because that link you provided says that the total outstanding public DEBT is $18+ trillion. It has your $5+ trillion of intergovernmental holdings listed and everything.

                • Obewon July 4th, 2015 at 00:57

We know Cons learn much slower than everyone else e.g. today’s $13 T “Debt Held by the Public 07/02/2015 $13,105,898,581,879.78”

                  • johnnybizzoy July 4th, 2015 at 14:08

Your intergovernmental holdings are counted as debt, they accrue interest, just like debt, and they must be paid back, just like debt. They are not seen as a surplus by anyone.

                    • Obewon July 4th, 2015 at 17:52

Boy are you foolishly uninformed! You think SS, SSDI & Medicare are paid ontime every month with surplussed IOU’s? What a dipshit.

                    • johnnybizzoy July 4th, 2015 at 18:21

Calling me a dipshit does not change the fact that you are lying and you know it

Buh bye. Good luck trolling your well proven ignorance elsewhere.

LOL, typical lying liberal, taking credit for the REPUBLICAN’S balanced budget, that REPUBLICANS wrote, (Clinton’s proposed budget wasnt anywhere NEAR balanced), that was part of the Republican Contract With America, and that Clinton had to be dragged, kicking and screaming into signing.

But what do you expect. Republican accomplishments are the only thing Dems HAVE to take credit for, because everything Dems have every done has failed.

Just like Obama is now taking credit for lower gas prices that he had NOTHING to do with. In fact, he and Democrats declared over and over and over again that “we couldnt drill our way to lower prices”.

Republicans proved that, yes! we can!
