Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton May Face Felony Indictment

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton may be facing the fight of his life according to special prosecutors who have been investigating Paxton for securities laws violations.

Kent Schaffer, one of the special prosecutors who has been looking into Paxton’s business dealings, remarked:

    This is the guy who tells government workers in Texas that if they want to break the law and not issue marriage licenses they can because there are lawyers lined up to represent them for free. I don’t think he really understands how the law works. I think he needs to step down from his position as Attorney General, he clearly is not good for Texas.

    Looks like this is an investigation being conducted by the state of Texas and not the federal government.

    It will take some creative spinning for right wing apologists to spin this as some sinister witch hunt orchestrated by the President and liberals in Washington DC.

    But I have every confidence they will have their press release stating exactly that right after we are done with the weekend’s fireworks and picnics.
