The Populist movement is gaining momentum worldwide. People like Neil Young are helping the movement to focus on the dire need to deal with climate change in the movement. It is time for the people of the world to unite and take on the big corporations that don’t care about the environment, that think the earth is theirs to abuse and destroy for a buck or two.

Isn’t it crazy, one side is for the planet and the other side is protecting corporations? How does the corporations have anyone siding with them? It is sick and it seems like the side of corporations are for them simply because their party dictates certain beliefs to them and they all comply without realizing they are hurting themselves.

I am old enough to remember all the protest songs that addressed crucial issues in the world, and it was obvious that so many musicians were in touch with the world and the people, and used their voices to raise awareness and promote action.
Today there are few who even acknowledge the problems, and the music lacks the talent and energy, just pablum ground out by the corporations.
One of the most powerful songs, “masters of war”, sung by Eddie Vedder is a passionate performance:

Why does it seem that the creativity and talent seems to be handed out to the left, and so often stolen by the right?
