Anne Graham Lotz: God Allows Terrorists To Get Our Attention

Posted by | June 15, 2015 19:00 | Filed under: Politics Religion

God allows bad things to happen so we’ll finally pay attention to Him says Anne Graham Lotz.

According to Lotz, God “allows the terrorists to strike or a tornado to rip through our city” to get our attention, “because, for whatever reason, we don’t seem to give him our attention until we’re desperate. And, so, if we don’t give him our attention then he’s going to allow things to happen to make us more and more desperate until we do cry out.”

Lotz suggested that a potential Supreme Court decision legalizing marriage equality may be a sign that the end is near: “I think that Supreme Court decision, and I agree with you that the Enemy is coming like a flood, and that’s one of his tactics. They hit us at every level, at every angle, so that we feel overwhelmed and so we just want to retreat and say ‘just don’t come near me.’” Such a “retreat,” Lotz said, would only hasten the arrival of the End Times, warning that gay people are asking “to join an institution that, actually, by its very definition, they can’t join. So if the Supreme Court changes that legally in America, they are very seriously defying God.”

I understand her “thinking”, whenever some tragedy happens in your life, always look for a group to blame it on, its the Republican way.

Shakespeare said it best: “The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves.”

    • Jimmy Smith June 16th, 2015 at 01:02

Or like the ignorant, fearful people of thousands of years ago – hear a strange sound or when something terrible happens, blame it on a god because it is less scary that way.

      • fahvel June 16th, 2015 at 02:40

‘cept folks back then didn’t have a god – they had identifying energies – ONLY!

    Good that she knows.

    Must have a direct line.

    Shut up you grifter

Sit the f*ck down you old nutbag.

    Ms. Lotz is an anachronism.

She should have been born in a time when she had no vote and wasn’t allowed to speak in church.

She benefits from the sacrifices people made in the past so that society PROGRESSED. And this is the elemental aspect of gay marriage she is totally blind about. Too bad she ignores that whole “Love thy neighbor” thing Christ talked about.

    Get our attention?
    This is GOD we’re talking about…THE Being…omnipotent…without equal…above all…Creator of the Heavens® and The Earth®!
Couldn’t he just, like, appear to everyone all at once, say “Hey! I’m God. Worship me,don’t do bad, be excellent to one another, love ya…mean it!” in their own language, and be done with it? Does He have to lay waste to large swaths of land or instigate countless unnecessary killings just to get our attention?
Sounds more like a petulant child who doesn’t think things through, ya ask me….

    • Jimmy Smith June 16th, 2015 at 00:59

More like the pissy, conservative Old Testament “smite thine enemies” God versus the mellow, liberal “love thy neighbor …” New Testament God

    • fahvel June 16th, 2015 at 02:38

he’s god alright but he’s one mean mofo without a shred of concern for his one, only one, mistake. To cover his ass he has been letting the error roar along while he and his angels giggle their cherubic tails off – his brother is also having a ball!!!!!

On another post, rhzsz, the proselytizing right wing troll, said “Women shouldn’t speak up at all, when they do society collapses.” Given the fact that Anne Graham Lotz is on his side, I can understand why he thinks that way.

terrorism is a distraction, just let them kill each other

The real enemy is usually within the nation – hence the first objective of the nationalist is to persecute the domestic equalist

  9. Darksnark June 16th, 2015 at 03:16

God allows destruction, suffering and death so he can get more personal attention?

This “God” sounds like a spoiled-rotten, passive-aggressive adolescent prick sociopath, and worshiping him would only be the worst kind of enabling behavior….

What’s next, volcano worship, virgin sacrifice, cowering on the ground under a darkened sky? Religious grifting is always a moneymaker if you keep enough uneducated people fearful of your prophetic powers….oooooooooooooooo… ( the sounds of evil spirits in the background )

    • Bunya June 16th, 2015 at 14:33

That’s why religion is so profitable. Religious organizations have no production costs (threatening people with eternal damnation doesn’t cost a thing), they have volunteers work for religious charitable organization subsidized by the government, and best of all, they pay no taxes. Any extra money that comes in via tithes and donations goes directly in their pocket.
      .
Who wouldn’t want a business venture like that?

    • granpa.usthai June 17th, 2015 at 01:06

      hey!
when Goddess Pele demands you to sacrifice an 18 year old’s virginity, you should do it.
For about 40 bucks (locally) you can usually pick up one at known working corners. Some of the older, more experienced, 18 year olds may require a little more, but if it’s gonna keep your city from being covered with hot liquid magma, what’s a few extra bucks? –
      Plus!
you get the experience, knowledge and satisfaction of making a goddess happy!

Jesus Christ, God, you know my email address, you know my phone number, what’s with the freaking terrorists and tornadoes? Do you call, do you write? Nooooo…You kill the innocent to get my attention. Somebody is being overly dramatic, if ya ask me.

  12. Larry Schmitt June 16th, 2015 at 09:17

“I think that Supreme Court decision, and I agree with you that the Enemy is coming like a flood, and that’s one of his tactics.” She can’t even complete a thought. Not that there’s anything there when she does.

  13. Mike June 16th, 2015 at 09:38

Incoherent babbling’s of a religiously deranged person. These “end timers” are boring.

  14. uzza June 16th, 2015 at 10:51

Hmmm, God is affiliated with terrorists. Shouldn’t we drone him or something?

  15. William June 16th, 2015 at 11:09

….a tornado to rip through our city” to get our attention,
    Wow.
People in Nebraska must have a very short attention span..
So all this time we were led to believe that tornadoes were caused by gay people.
Pat Robertson has a lot of ‘splaining to do.

    • Bunya June 16th, 2015 at 14:37

Did you ever notice that tornados usually rip through the bible belt? You’d think God would send them to the loose cities like New York, Chicago, LA and, most of all, Las Vegas.

      • William June 16th, 2015 at 14:47

Maybe God it telling them to move?

        • Bunya June 16th, 2015 at 16:44

Yeah but, in the bible belt? The “God, guns ‘n ammo” states? Where there’s a church on every corner? Isn’t it just a teeny bit ironic?

      • Larry Schmitt June 16th, 2015 at 16:40

It was either Falwell or Robertson, or both, who claimed that Katrina hit New Orleans because of teh gays.

    • granpa.usthai June 17th, 2015 at 00:56

Patrick has already heaped coals on his own head. A FALSE prophet by every standard set forth.
I, on the other hand, fully meet all the scriptural requirements as a PROPHET OF GOD! (sun will rise in the east and set in the west) with 100% accuracy DAILY.
Patrick should be dragged outside and stoned to death. For myself, I request nothing
      BUTT…
should you see another human in need – and you’re able – give ’em a little something.

  16. granpa.usthai June 17th, 2015 at 00:49

…god also allows scriptural swindlers to THRIVE!

    BUTT…

I thought REAL Christians were suppose to be looking for the end to come?

‘…even so, come quickly Lord Jesus’ sound familiar to anyone?
