‘Duck Commander Musical’ Closing In Vegas

A musical based on “Duck Dynasty” is closing sooner than hoped by the producers.

A spokeswoman confirmed Friday that the 90-minute broadway-style musical that told the story of the Louisiana family behind the “Duck Dynasty” reality show will end May 17.

The same Broadway company behind “Jersey Boys” renovated a 680-seat theater inside the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino for the show.

Broadway Producer Michael David told the Associated Press before the show debuted that he wanted the show to settle into Las Vegas for a time.

    I live in Missouri…
I see idiots that look like this every day..
Why would anyone pay to see them?

      Branson?

I was there before it became a C & W mecca… But the country around there is beautiful. My dad lived in Forsyth before he died, just a hop, skip, and a quick hitchhike away.

I live just north of Kansas City now..
Little town called Parkville, right on the river..
Peaceful, low crime and just 15mins from work/downtown.

I had a dear friend who was a St. Charles boy. My family was from Kansas, just across the border from Joplin. I’ve been in and around Mo for years, but never lived there. A lot of nice people and some great scenery.

Yeah, it settled alright to the bottom of the barrel. It was a dumb premise to begin with and I can say that NOBODY here in Vegas knew or cared that it was here. Heads should roll.

Until they opened their big mouths and made with the dumb quacks, whenever I saw Duck Dynasty listed in the TV Guide, this is what I thought the program was about.

    I still think it should.

I’d say having a 20-day run in a Las Vegas casino for a musical production is very laudable, especially since the four of them together couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket.

Hope they lost an abundance of greenbacks in this fiasco…ducks celebrating everywhere.

The one on the left – – – isn’t he a bit old to be still sucking his thumb?
I always thought that was weird in anyone over 5 years old…….
