Huckabee Blames ‘Militant Gay Community’ For Indiana Backlash

Posted by | April 5, 2015 13:30 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Top Stories

It’s not just the gays; it’s “militant” gays.  Those pesky gays who insist on standing up for their rights. Yes, THOSE gays.

“There’s been more pressure this week to put sanctions on Indiana than Iran,” Huckabee said, referring to the announcement by the Obama administration of a controversial deal regarding the Islamic Republic’s pursuit of nuclear weapons…

Earlier this week, appearing on a talk radio show produced by the rightwing Christian Family Research Council (FRC), he said: “The left has gotten very good at creating a crisis, something to divide the country.

“Well, it won’t stop until there are no more churches, until there are no more people who are spreading the gospel. And I’m talking now about the unapologetic, unabridged gospel that is really God’s truth.”

Anybody who is not just like them is divisive. It must be horrifying to be in their skins–constantly afraid that they might suddenly fall under the spell of the militant gay mind meld and find themselves helplessly attracted to a member of their own sex! Oh the HORRORS!
They need to get over it–see a counselor or something. They are OBSESSED with gay male sex for some reason. There’s more gay male porn downloaded in the buybull belt than anywhere else in the country.

Yeah cause we all know, if there is one militia that is made up of nothing but savages, its the LGBT militia.

  3. Apocalypse April 4th, 2015 at 14:44

Yeah, they’re fabulously well armed …

    • Larry Schmitt April 4th, 2015 at 17:59

We know their weapons match their outfits. But seriously, who are these “militant gays” he refers to? Are these the ones who are trying to “turn” your kids?

What Hucakabee is really afraid of is choices. If Gays aren’t labeled an abomination then maybe God isn’t real or his book of rules are malleable. You don’t want cult members to have choices or multiple viewpoints, that’s a freaking recipe for disaster. Keep them in Plato’s Cave staring at the flickering shadows on the wall. Never give them an opportunity to escape their shackles, if they break free you will never come get the shackles back on.

    Militant gays?
Is that what happens when you repeal “Don’t ask/ don’t tell”?

Doesn’t Huckster know the rightwing Christian Family Research Council (FRC) was founded by George Rekers and his LGBT luggage lifters? http://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/george-rekers-has-company-the-top-ten-outed-right-wing-homophobes-6528243

In a previous era, the Huckster would have been publicly condemning MLK and the freedom marchers for their “militant” protests against the segregationist policies of the South.

    • Larry Schmitt April 4th, 2015 at 18:00

They were so “militant” they didn’t have any weapons except their courage.

  8. bpollen April 4th, 2015 at 18:09

Puts a new spin on “We’re looking for a few good men…”

  9. Lolivas April 4th, 2015 at 18:49

yes, the left is great at dividing the nation but he’s doing exactly the same thing he accuses the left of doing.

    • Chaz April 5th, 2015 at 09:52

I disagree. I don’t think the “left” is dividing the nation. Christians have this notion that because their actions finally come with consequences, that must mean that no longer getting their way all the time equals a “war on Christianity.” No one is forbidding anyone one their freedom of religion, but civil rights are denied to many, not just the LGBT community, on a daily basis in this country.

    He always says God’s Truth.
I’m sure God will disown everything he says that God has said.
The only truth about this man is that he’s a bloody BIGOT.
    He’s disgusting.

  15. Ronald Woolever April 5th, 2015 at 10:08

Gee Huck, o you think it is possible? The part about no churches, no religion, no more crazy people coming to my house trying to lay bullshit on me. Now you are talking about the real heaven. The heaven that comes from knowing that only we the human population, can fix the disaster we have created.

more sanctions on Indiana than Iran? Of course dimwit! Iran is a foreign country. We may not like them, and it goes without saying that they don’t like us, but Indiana is IN the US and when they start acting like Iran then they deserve as many sanctions as we can give them!
