Peter King: Cruz A ‘Carnival Barker’ Who Shouldn’t Be President

Posted by | March 23, 2015 17:00 | Filed under: Politics Top Stories

Long Island Congressman Peter King believes Ted Cruz is unfit to be president.

In the statement, King says the GOP should “be able to find a more qualified candidate than Ted Cruz.”

He goes on to say, “Shutting down the federal government, reading Dr. Seuss on the Senate floor are the marks of a carnival barker, not the leader of the free world.”

King, of course, is considering a 2016 run as well, and he’s said he would run just to stop Cruz orRand Paul from taking the GOP in the wrong direction.

Carnival barkers serve a purpose: to draw attention to the carnival and get paying customers inside the tents. Ted Cruz serves no purpose. At best, Ted Cruz serves himself.

The students were forced to go see the cruz tool announce his latest joke. They had no idea what was going on, they walked into the hall and was given a flag, he can’t even get enough people to show up to see him speak, he has to find a school that is vile enough to make their students listen to this blowhard announce something that everyone already knew, but no one cared.

This is shaping up to be the biggest comedy Piñata since Katie Couric interviewed Tundra Tootsie.

I think we should look into who is financing him, I suspect a lot of comedians are behind this.

I wouldn’t be surprised. This guy is SNL gold that practically writes itself

My thoughts exactly. I can already picture who will be playing what part.

They were fined if they didn’t show up for the ‘announcement’.

On the same day that Sen. Cruz announces his candidacy, two Congressional colleagues make it clear they are at best, unenthusiastic about said candidacy.

Sen. Cornyn from Cruz’s own state of Texas has said he is not endorsing anybody in the primaries. Probably not good in Texas political circles (GOP circles anyway) to come out and say that Cruz is an unqualified loon. So a blanket declaration of no support for anyone is probably the smartest move for Sen. Cornyn.

Personally I would love an Elizabeth Warren vs Ted Cruz 2016 election. The country would have a very clear, definitive choice. One candidate addressing income equality and sensible regulations on financial institutions; the other candidate obsessed with stripping 16million people of health insurance and spending trillions of dollars on a war with Iran.

    Yeah, let’s have that debate.

And,the birther’s weigh in on this, when?
Cruz is White ergo it’s not an issue.

Don’t know where I read it but apparently Orly has weighed in. She admires Cruz but doesn’t believe he’s eligible.

Really? Wow, consistency has never been their strong suit.
