Santorum, Jindal, Join Israel Trip With Group That Wants Jews To Convert

Rick Santorum and Bobby Jindal are taking a trip to Israel organized by the Family Research Council. RightWingWatch reports:

Jindal and Santorum’s decision to travel to Israel with FRC may raise eyebrows, given the group’s history of making dismissive comments about American Jews and expressing hope that Jews in Israel will convert to Christianity, a central theme of certain End Times narratives.

FRC Executive Vice President Jerry Boykin said last year that Jews who convert to Christianity are “fulfilled Jews,” claiming that missionary efforts should focus on Israeli Jews, who can learn from their Arab Christian neighbors…

Boykin also slammed Jewish Americans for largely backing Democrats, claiming that they don’t realize that Adolf Hitler was actually a leftist: “If you look at Hitler, one of the most disgusting things I hear is for people to call Hitler the extreme Right. The absolute opposite was true. It was the National Socialist Party. He was an extraordinarily off the scale leftist. But many Jews in America, for example, can’t identify with the Republican Party because they’re called the party of the Right, when in fact nothing could be further from the truth.”

Like Boykin, FRC President Tony Perkins, for his part, once attacked the “Jewish lobby” for its ties to Democratic elected officials, lamenting that Democrats “enjoy the money coming from the Jewish community.”

      Shanghai by jews for Jesus?

      • bluejayray February 27th, 2015 at 17:40

Why not–they don’t seem to have anything better to do. Might be good for a laugh–until somebody puts out an eye…

Jews for Jesus is one group I just can’t get my head around. Isn’t that sorta like starting a group called the Klan for African Americans?

That is exactly what I was gonna say, maybe the two can talk about conversion over dinner. I see nothing but great possibilities coming from this interaction lol.

Sure bacon wrapped shrimp followed by a nice dinner of pork loin and lobster should be enough to get Bibi to see the light.

        • Suzanne McFly February 27th, 2015 at 10:56

Bibi will see how the other side eats and that will be the final straw fer sure :)

You mean when Bibi reads the GOP teleprompter?

I remember when you laughed at Glen Beck, General Boykin and others about the coming caliphate. What say you now Alan? Post his entire speech and let everyone listen to what he says in context about the ‘religion of peace’. Peace, by the way, comes AFTER the world is washed in blood and everyone belongs to the ‘right’ Islam.

    • William February 27th, 2015 at 10:58

      Seriously? Glenn Beck?

      Ha,Ha,Ha,Ha,Ha.

We’re still laughing at ignorant right-wing bigots.

Living your life with such paranoia can’t be comfortable.

Here’s your caliphate as of January. A couple of towns, the roads in between them and a whole lot of nothing. They’re contained in the desert. I suggest you look at a few more maps and study some actual information instead of listening to Beck and Boykin.

I know you all are closed minded when it comes to a Caliphate. And you are biased against the Crusades (Christians) which were to regain lost land and save Christians from the sword of Islam. But if you can stand the history of jihad you might at least glance at this because as someone once said if you don’t know history it will repeat itself. And someone else once said when the caliphate was dissolved after WW I that they will return…which is what they are doing right now.

No need to reply to me. It is very evident that you don’t see the evil of Islam but you see the evil of Jesus and Christianity.
Fortunately the God of the Jews and the Christians (who is not the God of Islam – we worship a God of love) will give grace and mercy even to those who kill innocents if they will repent and ask for His forgiveness. And those of you who do not believe in God … well that is between the two of you.

        • Roctuna February 28th, 2015 at 11:04

How typical. Faced with an uncomfortable fact that doesn’t fit your “christian” world view and you resort to holier-than-thou passive aggressive bs.

LOL they going to stop by and see Bibi?

I find it difficult to comment on this ‘Jews for Jesus’ thing dispassionately. My crazy Baptist preacher father was way into this stuff in th last decade of his life. I do not know how much of his savings he gave them but it must have been in th thousands of dollars. After his depth I found he changed his will to disinherit me and his grandchildren and leave everything to one of these groups. For years after he passed we were getting mailings in his name addressed to my address, all of them propaganda pieces about how pooor little Israel was going to go under unless we went along with everything they wanted. i honestly think some of this stuff is perpetuated by the Mossad.
I have Jewish sister in law who was quite amused when I told her about this- she made the comment that anything who thinks Jews are going to convert must be smoking something.

I encourage these guys to go. I hear they’re not too fond of Christians in Israel.

    • bluejayray February 27th, 2015 at 17:37

And “fulfilled Jews” (???) wouldn’t be any more popular than regular Jews to their Muslim neighbors.

  6. bluejayray February 27th, 2015 at 17:36

These people are certifiably crazy–and they are running our country. The whole world is just a big game of gods and demons to them.

  7. paul fredine February 27th, 2015 at 20:59

they’re so eager to claim obama doesn’t love/respect/support israel while at the same time they won’t be happy unless they can convert the jews into the true believers they feel they should be. now that’s real love/respect/support in the true christian-american style. israel holds no relevance for them except in it’s relationship to the ‘end of days’, something they’re apparently so willing to hasten because they think they’ll be the only ones left when it’s all over and done, holding hands with jesus singing, ‘thank god, i thought they’d never leave.’

  8. liberalMD February 27th, 2015 at 22:51

Now I’m really confused. Aren’t these two statesmen members of the Republican Party, the one that’s affiliated with CPAC, that just yesterday insisted they were open-minded? Doesn’t sound very open-minded to be trying to convert people to another religion to me,

  9. ShelleysLeg February 28th, 2015 at 09:04

I so LOVE that they think that because the nazis were first known as the “national socialist party” that automatically makes them ‘leftists’! Ignorance abounds …. how anyone could conflate Hitler with being a ‘leftist’ is absolutely frightening.
