CPAC Chant: ‘President Paul!’

CPAC, though, does not have a history of predicting presidents.

“President Paul! President Paul! President Paul!” the attendees chanted in the middle of Paul’s speech after he declared America needs “a new president.”

The speech from the longtime CPAC favorite and 2016 presidential contender offered bold specifics on domestic policy and foreign policy. He promised to unveil a plan that would balance the budget in five years while passing “the largest tax cut in American history.”

“My tax plan will get the IRS out of your life and out of the way of every job creator in America,” he said.

“He promised to unveil a plan that would balance the budget in five years while passing “the largest tax cut in American history.” — Pandering to idiots and getting cheers does not make good policy.

My first reaction to the headline was to remember the footage of the Beatles’ concert at Shea Stadium. There was a hysterical girl in the audience who could do nothing but scream “Paul!”

We can only wonder if the CPAC participants gave half as much thought to their outpouring of emotion as the young lady at the Beatles concert.

It’s a gathering of the delusional. This only serves to prove that further.

Need a new president? Well, everyone knows that after Pres Obama in just under 2y. Then that would Hilary or another Dem.
Big tax cuts and reduce deficit at the same time? That’s a groundbreaking BS! Never happened before and never will in the future.
Ah well, he’s talking to dummies!
