So should I believe charges Alan or no charges Alan, I’m so confused

      He reports, you decide!

I gotta admit, I do love the fact that this story went in the space of a single day from “Army may file desertion charges,” to “Army will file desertion charges,” and back to “Army may file desertion charges” again.

Which essentially leaves us with the same story offered back when Bergdahl was handed off last, what was it, May, which, as you may recall was “Army may file desertion charges.”

Undoubtedly an attempt by Obama to throw us off the smoking Benghazi/Holder/IRS/GumChewing/DogEating/MuslimLovin’ scandal, that crafty bastard.

And folks that’s why we all need to wait for the rest of the story.

The late ABC News Journalist Frank Reynolds reprimanded his associates on the air as he kept getting conflicting reports on the assassination attempt against Ronald Reagan where both the President and James Brady were hit.

He said, on the air ” “let’s nail it down, let’s get it right.”

Today we have far too much emphasis on being first and not nearly enough emphasis on getting it right. We need journalists like the late Mr. Reynolds, not ratings-driven entertainers

From the Army Times article linked to above: In a report Monday citing two anonymous military sources, retired Lt. Col. Tony Schaffer told Fox News’ “The O’Reilly Factor” that the Army plans to charge Bergdahl with desertion….

That’s SHAFFER, guys. Oh yeah. THAT guy.

Okay, we’re done here. Shaffer, a genuine weasel and loose crap-cannon, makes his bones telling right wing propaganda mills any old bullshit he thinks they wanna hear, invariably citing “his sources,” who are never named, and has been doing it for years. This afternoon, for example, he ramped up the weaseltude by telling Newsmax that the Obama admin is interfering with the Bergdahl investigation in an attempt to “make it go away”– “according to his [as usual, unnamed] sources.”

It’s simple: when Shaffer starts talking, it’s time to stop listening. I’m not surprised that Fox and Newsmax give this guy a platform, but I thought better of NBC, which I assume failed to follow the provenance chain back to him– and close their notebooks.

      “citing two anonymous military sources,”
More right wing nameless faceless sources.
