Joni Ernst, Who Called Obama A ‘Dictator’, To Give GOP Response To SOTU

Posted by | January 15, 2015 20:00 | Filed under: Politics Top Stories

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell chose Ernst for the spotlight after President Obama gives his State of the Union Address Tuesday.

In statements released after the announcement, both McConnell, R-Ky., and House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, emphasized Ernst’s commitment to the middle class and suggested her remarks would focus on GOP efforts to address their needs.

“Joni understands that middle-class Americans want Congress to get back to work and that they want Washington to get refocused on their concerns, instead of those of the political class,” McConnell said…

Ernst defeated Democratic challenger Bruce Braley in the race to succeed retired Iowa U.S. Sen. Tom Harkin. Her victory helped seal the Republican majority in the Senate.

The Iowa Democratic Party on Thursday called Ernst’s speaking gig a “disappointment.”

“If the GOP wants to spotlight someone who is open to impeaching President Obama and went so far to call him a ‘dictator,’ then the new bipartisan outlook of Congress just vanished into thin air,” party Chairman Scott Brennan said in a statement.

I wonder if John McCain is thinking “Girl where were you in 2008”?

Now I’m not denigrating women here but why is it when republicans find one that is so off the wall they feel the need to push them front and center?

Because they have either submissive wives or crazy women in their party

Because strong, intelligent, independent women rarely buy into discriminatory policies of the Republican party – and they scare the bejeezus out of them.

Ernst will certainly provide plenty of material for late night comedians.
Expect a rebuttal that melds the inane efforts of Jindal and Bachmann.

She can be counted on to mouth every Teabag platitude and invoke every false-flag fantasy known to Wingerkind, which is precisely why McConnell tapped her — her Wingnut Street Cred is infinitely higher than his.

The new Repub platform is to have Michelle Bachmann, or an equivalent, in Congress at all times.

Wisconsin’s Grothman is the leading candidate.

Maybe she’ll give the public a demonstration of her neutering abilities.

Its an opportunity to prove to the nation that Iowans don’t have much sense when it comes to candidate selection. A genuine pig nut clipper.

Unfortunately there are 500,000 of my fellow Iowans who live in her world of delusions.
But to be more of a buzz kill, 1,000,000 couldn’t see fit to get off their cans and vote.

Bet they complain loudly about the government they didn’t elect too.

This should prove to be interesting.
A local news anchor proclaimed that “political insiders” were not surprised that Ernest was chosen to give the GOP (tea party) response.
If this true, it proves “political insiders” in Iowa are raving lunatics!
Joni Ernest is a creation of Americans for Prosperity vis a vis Charles and David Koch.
To think for a moment she has anything positive to offer America or it’s citizens is a fantasy.

The Democrats should be prepared to refute all of her BS. And demand the media cover them when they do.
