Man Files To Get Strippers’ Addresses So He Can Pray For Them
Click here for reuse options!David Van Vleet filed a request to obtain information about the strippers working at DreamGirls at Fox’s. He explained, “I would pray for those dancers by name. I’m a Christian… We have a right to pray for people.”
And something about trying to “do something for the public good.” Oh, and his assertion that he’s a citizen and he’s entitled to this information under the Constitution.
Van Vleet used the Public Records Act to request the licenses, but an attorney for the strip club said releasing that information would be a violation of employee rights. And a district court judge agreed, issuing a preliminary injunction this week prohibiting the disclosures of the strippers’ personal information.

I’m sure those dancers don’t want your prayers or your attention or you. You’re just a creepy religious nut.

If he really prays for them, and there really is a god, and that god actually listens to the prayers, and that god really wants to help them, from everything I learned about god when I was a kid, god doesn’t need their addresses. That’s a lot of ifs.

Wouldn’t”God” already know their names?
Or is this guy praying to a less-than-omnipotent being?

I think he’s more interested in the ‘laying on of hands’ part of the process. Too much of a coward to admit it openly.

Daddy O, you gave me a good laugh! Thanks, I needed that!

You pray because you know better than god’s plan.

Oh no! Does this mean every time I prayed for people in disasters, god invalidated my prayers because I didn’t name actual names. Ah, the technicalities of it all!
neworleans878 October 26th, 2014 at 10:31
Prayed to the wrong God, apparently.

Mr. Van Vliet might want to reconsider his actions.
After all, the significant others of the dancers-in-question might just want HIS home address for a late-night “atiitude adjustment” session.
One that does NOT involve booze, but might involvs whips and chains and hand grenades!
