Legendary performer Glenn Campbell now has stage 6 Alzheimer’s disease.  Stage 7 is the end. Two years ago, he recorded his final song: “I’m Not Gonna Miss You.”  It was co-written with Julian Raymond It’s a brilliant, beautiful, ironic ballad, joy tinged with sadness. What a way to say goodbye!

A man that gave generations a love for his music… will be missed

Feel bad for him and his Family. My Mother has Alzheimer’s. I hate seeing her physically, knowing her mind is gone. She doesn’t talk anymore, is just about wheel-chair bound and has no clue who we are. We used to be able to take her out to eat, to museums, to the mall, etc., a year ago but now with her legs uncertain and being very afraid of moving vehicles, we just visit her a lot in the memory care facility she’s in. It’s tough for everyone. All I can say is spend lots of time with them, even when it’s hard to.

I am sorry for your family. My MIL also has alzheimers, she still has moments of lucidity but she has a short memory of about 10 minutes. Her body is strong, sinewy so I can take her for walks. She is mostly blind and deaf, so touch is how we communicate. I love this woman with all my heart
