Chris Christie Gearing Up

Posted by | October 8, 2014 23:33 | Filed under: Politics Top Stories

The New Jersey governor is preparing for the possibility of a 2016 run, reports George Will.

Christie has been crisscrossing the country, campaigning for and distributing contributions to Republican gubernatorial candidates. And campaigning for other Republicans. He carried over into this year $50 million the RGA had in its coffers; he has presided over the raising of at least another $50 million; by Nov. 4 he will have perhaps raised upward of another $10 million. By then he will have been in more than 30 states in 11 months.

Coyness is not in Christie’s repertoire, so regarding his 2016 intentions he says he will decide in 2015 and meanwhile will not disguise the obvious — that he is doing spadework that prepares the ground for a possible presidential run…

Christie the zestful political combatant is also, and first, a father, with two of his four children, 14 and 11, at home. This will influence his decision about 2016. But so, he says, will this: His wife, Mary Pat, does not want him sitting in the back yard, years hence, harboring regrets about a road not taken.

if his team slows down the election process like they do traffic on bridges, it’ll be 2525 before the results for 2016 will be available anyway.

is this picture ‘photo shopped’ or does New Jersey actually have a bridge with two lanes open?

And, he has the advantage of being attacked by Dems! Whether he dodges possible corruption charges or is simply smeared by association to idiot underlings, he’s miles ahead of any other Repub Presidential candidate. That will make him the instant a front runner for the fringe right wing crowd.

I remember the last two Presidential elections…
The candidates and front runners on the right reminded of a clown car at the circus..
They just kept pouring out, one after the other.

last I heard, there’s like 16 in the possible, which shows the Republican Party is for ‘representative democracy for all’ (white radical males) so we’re apt to see much of a repeat of 2012, up to and most likely including another Romney ‘too close to call until 5 minutes after the polls close on election night’ mudslide. Would be kinda funny watching a white male explain to America why they’re better qualified to speak on women’s issues than a woman though! If that didn’t ring any bells in the heads of Republican women, nothing would.

He will certainly have plenty of room in the early part of the running.

Barbara walters thinks Christie is going to have a heart attack
do you think the gop will force more stress on a overweight man ?

    • Obewon October 9th, 2014 at 00:17

Christie / Cruz in 2016~ gives the Koch’s a very remote opportunity to say ‘RIP Chris. POTUS Cruz46 just declared U.S. a theocracy.’

      51% Hillary Clinton (D) Vs 42% Chris Christie (R) 9/24-29/14 Moe ± 3.3% http://www.pollingreport.com/wh16gen.htm

almost like the pre Romney mudslide.

    • granpa.usthai October 9th, 2014 at 10:13

he seems healthy enough, but doesn’t take criticism very well for a public figure. As long as the Dems don’t use his records as Governor of New Jersey, he may do well. EG: he could say to the public that he supports a woman’s right to chose, but to the teabaggers he could promise to make every free choice facility a bridge in New Jersey. He could tell the public that he supports EQUAL RIGHTS for gay Americans, but to the teabaggers he could promise to make every gay marriage a bridge in New Jersey. He could campaign on ‘building bridges’ in America, but tell the teabaggers he could promise ‘and block them like a bridge to New Jersey! Lots of ways he could win over the teabaggers:
‘I’m three times the size of Obama – and ALL WHITE’.
‘I’m for Romneycare, not Obamacare, – and ALL WHITE’.
‘I have a fake New Jersey Birth Certificate, but – I’m ALL WHITE’
‘Who the heck needs a bridge, when they have a helicopter? – and they’re ALL WHITE’
If he sticks to those issues like they were a freezer full of Great Outdoors ole 96’er, he should do very well in the Republican primaries and take the teabaggers like they were traffic lanes on a bridge to New Jersey!
