Obamacare ‘Victim’ Who Says She Had To ‘Go Back To Work’ Has Been Working For Years

Even though Obamacare “victim” stories have been debunked time and time again, circulating false stories, which end up being fact-checked, is still a Republican tactic. The woman in the new Crossroads GPS ad claims she had to go back to work because of Obamacare, however, her own LinkedIn Profile shows that she’s been working continuously for years — months before Obama was elected.

A woman from Colorado tells her Obamascare story which isn’t holding water:

A new TV ad from Crossroads GPS features a Castle Rock mom criticizing Democratic Sen. Mark Udall for voting for the Affordable Care Act — not a surprising mouthpiece in a race that will likely come down to suburban women.

But the woman in the ad, Richelle McKim, is actually an employee of an energy company that is among the biggest donors to Udall’s opponent; and her story, which seemingly contradicts information on her publicly available LinkedIn profile, is at least more complicated than the 30-second version hitting Colorado’s airwaves starting Thursday.

In the new ad titled “Richelle,” McKim claims “policies coming out of Washington really do affect us here at home.”

She goes on to tell of her husband’s decision to start his own business

“We knew we needed to find healthcare,” McKim said. “Because we were a single income family, we couldn’t afford our plan.”

KDVR reports, “On the screen, text appears that reads: ‘Richelle had to go back to work.'”

But according McKim’s LinkedIn profile, she has worked constantly since July 2008 — four months before President Obama was elected.

KDVR contacted the latest Obamacare “victim”  Thursday afternoon at her office, and McKim explained that she went back to work in 2010 because it was too tough making ends meet on her husband’s income.

“It wasn’t the Affordable Care Act,” she said. “It was just a financial burden, having a single income for so long.”

She claims that her husband was not insured and suffers from high blood pressure — a preexisting condition — although the rest of her family had coverage. “He had no insurance and that was a very good thing for us,” she said. “We were able to choose if we wanted health insurance or not.”

But the Affordable Care Act lowers costs for people with preexisting conditions like high blood pressure.

“It’s alarming that when we have illegals here, they can still choose if they want health care, but we as citizens no longer have that choice,” McKim said.

Watch her story fall apart.

McKim’s husband is now covered under her employee plan offered by Noble, which offers medical, dental and prescription insurance plans to its employees; Anadarko, her previous employer, also offers medical plans.

“I went back to work to get benefits,” she said.

Anadarko Petroleum is currently the biggest contributor to GOP Congressman Cory Gardner’s campaign to unseat Udall, having given $57,550 through the company’s political action committee, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

Noble Energy has given Gardner’s campaign $36,000 to date.

McKim said she was connected with Crossroads GPS through “a friend of a friend” and that she’s pleased with the ad’s portrayal.

“I think it captured the heart of my message, which is that entrepreneurship is a risk and when you’re imposing overreaching policies that mandate people have to buy things they can’t afford, it takes that away,” she said.

Watch:

Except that her husband’s preexisting condition is no longer a problem in order to get coverage. As for the other lies, they’re just Rove’s operation circulating more false stories which are easily debunked.

She claims she wants Obamacare repealed because she had to “go back to work” when in fact, she was working long before the Affordable Health Care Act became the law of the land.

Lies. Hatred. Racism. The Black Man in the White House has reduced the GOP to nothing but quivering, lying, hatefilled racists.

There should be a voiceover that RAPIDLY says,”This statement NOT meant to be in any way factual!”

Something no-one has brought up. She says she has not been working all these years. Yet she has. Does that mean she has not filed taxes for those wages? Has she been working “under the table”. Shouldn’t the IRS look into this. And is Noble Energy complicit in this scam? Or. if she has been working and paying taxes, are Noble Energy complicit in that scam?

Saying she “had to go back to work” is kind of like a pack-a-day smoker saying they quit (20 times a day).

She nailed an old truth my grandpa taught me – “When a Republican is talking he is lying and the truth is the opposite of what he is saying.”
