Benghazi Terrorist Ringleader Inspired By Anti-Islamic Video Arraigned in D.C. Federal Court

Ahmed Abu Khattala, the suspected ringleader in the terrorist attack in Benghazi, was arraigned on court in Washington, D.C. and pleaded not guilty to conspiracy.

At 3:25 p.m., Abu Khattala walked, unshackled, into a paneled courtroom in downtown Washington, wearing a black, zip-up hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a flowing gray beard. It was his first appearance in public since he was captured in Libya two weeks ago, transported across the Atlantic Ocean in a ship made of steel from the World Trade Center’s rubble, and flown by helicopter into the District on Saturday just after sunrise.

As he stood at the end of a long table, wearing a headset and with his right hand raised, Abu Khattala said through an interpreter that he understood the proceedings and would tell the truth.

His public defender, Michelle Peterson, told a federal magistrate judge that her client was not guilty of the charge of “conspiracy to provide material support” on which a federal grand jury in the District had indicted him Thursday.

This entire effort to capture a Benghazi terror suspect and bring him to trial is just another left wing smokescreen designed to distract the nation from the Benghazi attack. I’ll be back later. I need to call Glenn Beck. This is BIG.

Now that is a trustworthy source. I guess it is justifiable homicide when someone gets insulted over a movie. I wonder if those on this site who believe the excuse by this murder would have responded the same way if Christians reacted the same way over Bill Maher’s movie; which they didn’t and they won’t.

If you destroy a Quran you may be killed, If you destroy a bible, nothing happens, they just print another one. What’s the difference? Muslims worship the book, Christians worship God.

First of all, your religious bigotry is disgusting.

Second of all, “those on this site” were the ones insisting that the culprit be brought to trial. NO one was saying anything about justifiable homicide.

Time and time again you whine about how little respect you receive on this site. Time and time again you lie about what we believe. Exactly how would you react to someone who repeatedly lies about what you believe?.

If you want to see the person responsible for the lack of respect you get on this site, find the nearest mirror and take a good long look.

Obewon was the one posting stuff trying to prove it was the video that was responsible for the attack. He is using this terrorists claim that “the video made him do it” to make his case.
I merely showed how absurd it is to react with such violence over someone insulting your religion. Your reaction sounds like you are defending him too.
Exactly what lies are being told by the way?

“” I guess it is justifiable homicide when someone gets insulted over a movie.””

your “guess” implying that anyone on this site considers Benghazi to be justifiable homicide is the lie to which I refer.

Time and time again, I have tried to make it clear that I have no control over what things “sound like” to you. Your misconceptions are not my problem. Please respond to what I actually say and not some nonsensical fabrication.

No lies told so far BOB we didn’t waterboard him before his court appearance either, I guess that’s what’s ticking you off ?

Your own Bible lists 2,821,364 killed over your own “book.” But as always biblical fables conservatively total 24,994,828 murdered over your Bible. http://dwindlinginunbelief.blogspot.com/2010/04/drunk-with-blood-gods-killings-in-bible.html While many scholars have long proven Christianity’s 100 million+ murders remain the biggest killer on Earth for 2,000 years.

The CBS video interview is great:) Good job in (accidentally) pointing out religious hypocrites like ‘Jesus Miranda claiming to be the reincarnation of Jesus Christ’-exactly as did GOP’s Rev. Moon! LOL. But your Bible lists 2,821,364 killed over your own “book.” As always biblical fables, conservatively total 24,994,828 murdered over your Bible. http://dwindlinginunbelief.blogspot.com/2010/04/drunk-with-blood-gods-killings-in-bible.html While many scholars have long proven Christianity’s 100 million+ murders remain the biggest killer on Earth for 2,000 years.

The 20 worst religious death tolls include #1 66 Million killed in practicing Catholic Adolf Hitler’s WW-II against Jew’s & LGBT as blessed by the 1939 Papal Nuncio & later elected WW-II Pope Pius XI & Pope Pius XII 1939 to his death in 1958. http://necrometrics.com/pre1700a.htm

I thought you said the bible was a fable and there is no god? Now you are trying to blame murders on someone who you don’t believe in by using the very data you previously refuted.
Btw, 80% of Americans say they are Christians. Being a Christian is not a noun, it is a verb. Those who do things which are not Christ like may call themselves Christians but their actions tell a different story.

  7. Spirit of America June 30th, 2014 at 01:37

I would hope ANY statements he makes would need verification from other more ‘trustworthy’ sources, and that no real American takes what he says on just face value just to use for political gain, no?
But even so, the facts point out it’s a lie:
The video cited was released via youtube in english form in july 2012 and not in the arabic language until sept. 2012.
The planning for the attacks started according to US intel weeks before the first attack(dry run?) in APRIL 2012. Then ‘in preparation for the more ‘comprehensive attack’, a June 5th attack putting a hole in the perimeter wall(now note, the video STILL hasn’t been released yet).
Oh wait, lets not forget that during an interview with a journalist before capture, he claimed to have had NOTHING to do with the attack except ‘act as a kind of traffic director’…
So he himself is already a proved liar….

So your telling us there are NO translators who could have easily told this man what the video was saying ?

      • Spirit of America June 30th, 2014 at 02:02

Even if there was, look at the timeline… April and June come before July… :)

As a side note, since all you seem to have picked out of my post was the translation point, are you saying you believe Khattala?

        • fancypants June 30th, 2014 at 02:05

Why not … we didn’t give him a ride here for coffee and donuts did we ?

          • Spirit of America June 30th, 2014 at 02:12

I’m sorry, I don’t follow your meaning… because we ‘gave him a ride here’ means everything he says we have to believe? And you didn’t address 2 main aspects… the timeline and his contradicting statement in an interview.

            • fancypants June 30th, 2014 at 02:19

this video could have been released on more websites including youtube Many have said “youtube” because its most familiar to usa citizens.
So why not take this statement word for word and insist that this video did not exist before july 2012 ? good luck with that one SA

              • Spirit of America June 30th, 2014 at 02:23

Probably because Nakoula claimed it was the first public release (btw, it was only a 14 minute clip from the whole movie, not the movie itself) used as a trailer.
So, you are indeed saying everyone should believe a known terrorist on a topic he’s already lied on.
                good luck w/that one.

                • fancypants June 30th, 2014 at 02:33

The film was produced in southern California by Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, a Coptic Christian filmmaker who was born in Egypt and influenced by radical anti-Islamic cleric Zakaria Botros Henein.

Nakoula was released from a US prison in June 2011 on probation from a bank fraud conviction. Production of the film started in August 2011 and then screened at a Hollywood theatre months later, when close to no one watched.

                  ——————————————————————–

WOW you forgot all the important timeline stuff didn’t you ? Here you go… ENJOY :) BTW august of 2011 is well before july of 2012 last time I checked

LOL LOL ‘screened’ means a showing, one. Now I wonder how many people from Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, etc made it to that showing, copied it in theater, dispersed it, etc… and even AJ continues with what you quoted:
“On July 1, 2012, a 14-minute-trailer of the film was uploaded to YouTube by “sambacile”, thought to be one of Nakoula’s aliases. Weeks later, right-wing Washington DC-based Coptic activist Morris Sadek sent the link to Gamel Girgis, an Egyptian reporter who writes about emigrant Copts for al-Youm al-Sabaa, a newspaper in Cairo.”

So I would say it was ‘noticed’ in that part of the world around then, no?

And I wonder why the DoS uses the phrase ‘video released on youtube mid-summer’ very often then…

But hey, if you want to believe a known terrorist who already proved he lies, feel free.

You believe him, I don’t believe him, probably neither will change their minds, so that’s the end for me.

Ever hear of “black market ” videos SA ? yes they do exist and some cultures have it down to a science where a home video camera can record movie theatre movies then send it anywhere they want without you knowing it ? 11 months is plenty of time to inform an angry mob isn’t it SA…..
