SCOTUS Unexpectedly Helps The EPA

SCOTUS’ Big Week Begins Today

The Supreme Court actually partially upheld one of President Barack Obama’s early efforts against climate change, saying the Environmental Protection Agency had authority to impose new permitting requirements on some power plants and factories.

This may prove to be a Pyrrhic victory as another government shutdown is planned because the Obama Administration is in favor of decreasing pollution.  Generally, the Supreme Court’s decisions are announced the week before their summer recess, which commences at the end of June. The most monumental decision will be announced when the verdict is in for the  Hobby Lobby v Sebelius case, where corporations may or may not opt out of the birth control provision of the Affordable Care Act.

Ted Cruz GOP November 4th midterm strategy is threatening to shut down the government pre-election on October 1, 2014 by obstructing the FY-15 Budget.

The Koch Brother polluters are determined to repeat their failures plunging their GOP into record low 7% approval again. This is a great plan for handing over congress to the Democrats.
