Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer Buying LA Clippers

It’s for a paltry $2 billion.

Ballmer, who was chief executive of Microsoft for 14 years, was chosen over competitors that included Los Angeles-based investors Tony Ressler and Bruce Karsh and a group that included David Geffen and executives from the Guggenheim Group, the Chicago-based owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to three individuals familiar with the negotiations.

One of the individuals with knowledge of the negotiations said the Geffen group bid $1.6 billion and Ressler at $1.2 billion.

The sale price is almost four times the highest previous NBA franchise sale price — the $550 million paid earlier this month for the Milwaukee Bucks. It is second only to the Dodgers’ 2012 sale for $2.1 billion as the highest price for any sports team in North America.

I welcome the change in ownership but this is more like lifelong fellow republicans Balmer & Gates giving each other a $2B Sterling reacharound.

Everything doesn’t have to be Republican vs Democrat. It’s like the Gun Control fight. It isn’t Dem vs GOP. There are just as many Democrats that own hand guns than Republicans. Do you think all these Rappers are Republicans? One of my favorite radio shows “Rover’s Morning Glory” out of Cleveland. The host is 100% Democrat but he fights for Gun Owner’s rights all the time.

You should study demographics & ask why’d the (bigoted) owners chose the (R)MSFT weenie? I think MSFT’s stock & reputation is flushed so far down the sewer, this is just another cheap $2B tax deductible PR scam. As for Gun demographics you should know that the teeny tiny 24% remaining repubs are 2/3+ of the gun owners having as many as 40 guns in each cache. 1. Why’s that? A: “Gun Ownership And Racist Attitudes Are Linked, Study Finds” ‘For each +1 Point in symbolic racism there is a 50% Higher probability of gun ownership & advocating for conceal carry killers.’ http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/11/05/gun-ownership-racism_n_4220727.html

        2. Why are conservatives so much more afraid than normal people? A: “conservatives’ brains have larger amygdalas than the brains of liberals. Amygdalas are responsible for fear and other “primitive” emotions. At the same time, conservatives’ brains were also found to have a smaller anterior cingulate — the part of the brain responsible for courage and optimism.” http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2010/12/28/conservatives-fear-center-brain/ B: “Conservatives Big on Fear, Brain Study Finds”-Psychology today. http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/the-human-beast/201104/conservatives-big-fear-brain-study-finds

You should study demographics & ask why’d the (bigoted) owners chose the (R)MSFT gorilla? Many think MSFT’s stock & reputation are both flushed so far down the sewer, this is just another cheap $2B tax deductible PR scam in another TV advertising attempt to stem losses. As for Gun demographics you should know that the teeny tiny 24% remaining repubs are 2/3+ of the gun owners having as many as 40 guns in each cache. 1. Why’s that? But, but, but I thought that the whole LA Clippers thing was a devious plot orchestrated by Magic Johnson so that he could buy the team. Rush said so.

Are you telling me that a Rush Limbaugh broadcast contained information that is completely false?

    I am shocked.

    Shocked I say

Rush Limbaugh has an elaborate new conspiracy theory about Donald Sterling

Talk radio’s most popular conservative thinks Sterling was set up — maybe by Earvin “Magic” Johnson

Exactly Arc when was the last time Rusty was correct about anything? Today I happened to accidentally listen to 15 seconds of Limbaugh belching “BJ’s oral sex wasn’t there a family guy vomiting about being fooled by a (crossdresser)?”-Rush neglected to mention he was arrested TWICE by PD vice decoys posing as male hookers near the location of his first radio-job in Cape Girardeau, Missouri’s local station KGMO-co-owned by his father. I wonder now more than ever, who would give themselves a Limbaughtomy on purpose? It’s such a shame that any station carrying GOP leader Limbaugh has tanked into the bottom of US & local markets. Maybe it was a plot by Majic he just didn’t have 2 billion dollars laying around to complete the deal. Rush Limbaugh is like most radio hosts, they are just out there to make money for who they work for. I see and hear all kinds of theories by people in Media. As my first boss told me, “Don’t believe anything you hear and only half of what you see.”.
