First Democratic Senator To Call For Shinseki To Resign

Democratic Senator Mark Udall of Colorado is the first one in his party to call for the resignation of Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki.

Udall, who faces a tough reelection battle this fall, made his decision public via Twitter after the release of a preliminary Inspector General report, which found the pattern of covering up delays in patient care are “systemic throughout” the Dept. of Veterans Affairs.

    Finally, someone with integrity.

Someone else who needs to be terminated is the one who outed the CIA agent in Afghanistan. I’m sure the same people who spent two years and millions of taxpayer dollars investigating the Valarie Plame outing will be right on this.

The WH said they will begin an internal investigation. That’s like saying Willie Sutton will be investigating the money missing from the local bank.

or maybe it will be the people wasting millions on fake Benghazi investigations?

      • Bob Waas Sr. May 29th, 2014 at 16:26

No one died when Valerie Plame was outed. Besides, she wasn’t even working under cover at the time. It was strictly a political witch hunt by the Democrats and in the end it proved no one did anything wrong.
Wouldn’t you like to know why they blamed the video when it was known right away that it was a terrorist attack? Bob Beckel said it was to protect the president before the election.
Yes or no, would you still think it is a waste of time if George Bush was still in the WH? Or, would you like to know where he was when the attack was still in progress. Obama and Clinton were MIA.

                    • Obewon May 31st, 2014 at 11:39

Many conservatives broadcast on MSNBC including Abby Huntsman co-hosting “the Cycle” “I am excited to bring a dose of moderate, rational conservatism to The Cycle,

Reality May 2013 to May 2014: Faux Benghazi bs tanks FNC ratings -Fox News was down 27% in total day viewers and 25% in younger viewers compared to May 2013. Fox News was also down 26% in total viewers and 28% with younger viewers in primetime. In both daytime and primetime, Fox News delivered their lowest ratings with younger viewers since August 2001.

TVNewser has the ugly primetime details, “All the network’s primetime shows are down double-digits year-over-year. “The O’Reilly Factor” is down -28% in total viewers and -30% in the A25-54 demo. “The Kelly File” is down -17% in total viewers and -27% in the demo compared to the 9pmET hour last year and “Hannity” is down -30% and -23%, respectively, compared to the 10pmET hour last year.” http://www.politicususa.com/2014/05/28/benghazi-bs-wrecks-fox-news-ratings-plunge-27.html

You always distort the facts to favor your point of view and post them as if you are the authoritative voice of LL. Those of us with a brain know better and discount your stats as pure fairy tales and misinformation to play to those who believe” you have to passed it to see what’s in it.”

The real truth to the cable ratings are:

“Make no mistake, Fox News is still the ratings king. But the recent May numbers show that while all the cable channels had a decline in ratings (which is normal for May), Fox News was far from spared, with some of its lowest ratings in 12 years.”

“Still, Fox remains strong when compared to other networks…MSNBC had its lowest performance in prime time since July 2006, while CNN had the least-watched 9 p.m. hour in its entire history”

Wass always projects his faults onto others e.g. RW Politico Said what I posted LOL!

Via the Wass link: “the total day average for Fox News in the key advertising demographic of the 25- to 54-year-old category was 177,000 viewers, only the second time Fox has gone below a 200,000 average since 2001.”

                      B) ” “The O’Reilly Factor.” O’Reilly had his lowest month since 2001 in the key demo, with 308,000 viewers.”

RIP FNC “the median age for O’Reilly (Audience) is now just over 72 years old. The average Fox News viewer overall is 68.8, while the average ages of MSNBC and CNN viewers were 62.5 and 62.8, respectively.”-D’oh!

                      _______

                      That’s because;
                      1) They only retract it when they get caught.

                      2) It never stops them from doing it over and over again.

What in the world does Christian have to do with it???

None of them seem very Christian to me.

But again, I believe that TV news is entertainment, not news.
I quit watching TV news in 2004, and quit smoking in 2006.

I don’t recall reading in the Constitution where it required gun owners to register their firearms. I guess his criminal record didn’t keep him from serving in the military; so it must not have been too serious.
I figured out why all the attention towards Rep Issa. He is a self-made millionaire who took risks to become successful by working hard. Something foreign to those who criticize him the most.

Issa, however , went on his crime spree AFTER he left the service.

                  Nice try.

Lets talk about Issa military service shall we?

On his 17th birthday, he dropped out of high school and enlisted for three years in the Army. He became an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician, trained to defuse bombs, claiming his unit provided security for President Richard Nixon, sweeping stadiums for bombs prior to games in the 1971 World Series.[15] A May 1998 investigation by Lance Williams of the San Francisco Examiner said Nixon had not attended any of that year’s World Series games. Issa’s unit did perform security sweeps for the World Series. The investigation revealed that after the World Series Issa was transferred to a supply depot after receiving poor ratings. According to Issa, the Examiner reporter misunderstood an anecdote he had related

Many conservatives broadcast on MSNBC including Abby Huntsman co-hosting “the Cycle” “I am excited to bring a dose of moderate, rational conservatism to The Cycle,

RW Politico sugarcoated what I posted citing Nielsen ratings LOL!

Via the Wass link: “the total day average for Fox News in the key advertising demographic of the 25- to 54-year-old category was 177,000 viewers, only the second time Fox has gone below a 200,000 (“Total Day Viewers”) average since 2001.”

FYI> About 14 M view PBS Newshour every evening, plus another 10M viewing NBC News every night, while Wass dribbles ‘I wanna see those debunked lies again everynight on FNC’s everyshow, every day BenGhazi reruns!’

Moral relativism. Obama sucks, but Congress sucks more, so let’s mark them on a curve so they all get a passing grade.
Most Americans haven’t felt the full impact of Obamacare because Obama delayed implementation of so many conditions based upon where they fell in the election cycle.

                      Now lets talk numbers.
Lets talk about the *snicker* republican Congress approval rating.

Thank God that Obama can’t run again! When his numbers fall like they have it creates a big sucking sound, which sucks the rest of the Democrats down with him; which is why so many of those up for reelection are distancing themselves from him and his signature accomplishment, Obamacare.

                      Oh…..
So you don’t have any actual facts or data to support your statement, just Axelrods “opinion”
                      Ok…got it.

                    • Bob Waas Sr. June 1st, 2014 at 20:40

What facts do you want? The internet is full of them, Google them for yourself. Sen. Landrieu has not hidden the fact that she doesn’t want to be in the same city as Obama.
I thought Axelrod was esteemed when he worked for Obama and his opinion was thought important.

            • arc99 May 29th, 2014 at 17:48

over in the House, 126 out of 208 Democrats opposed the vote to go to war. Combine that with the 21 out of 50 in the Senate, that makes 147 out of 258 Congressional Democrats who got it right on Iraq. 57% opposed the Iraq war. Meanwhile, 7 Republicans out of 263 in both Houses opposed it.

I have no problem admitting when some Democrats make a mistake, and in this instance, believing Republicans and the Bush administration was about as big a mistake as one can make.

              • Bob Waas Sr. May 31st, 2014 at 10:44

You have no problem when some Democrats make a mistake? We went to war with Congress’ approval receiving votes from both parties. Obamacare was passed without one Republican vote.
So, based on your logic, the Republicans are much smarter because they could see through the lies of Obamacare and not vote for something they didn’t believe in.
The Democrats showed real leadership when they ran from their conviction that Iraq had WMD, (which they were preaching loudly up to the time we invaded them) and retreated to a “Blame Bush” mantra to protect themselves because they didn’t do their due diligence before voting “YAY” which is what they did with Obamacare. Now those same Democrats are running away from Obamacare in their reelection campaigns; but this time they can’t blame Bush. In fact, they have gone so far as to not invite Obama to any campaign appearances because it would negatively affect their chances of winning.

First of all, stop lying about what I said. I did not say I have no problem when some Democrats make a mistake. I said that I have no problem ADMITTING when some Democrats make a mistake.

I also pointed out that the MAJORITY of the Democratic caucus in Congress across both houses opposed the war. I also pointed out that the opposition to the war came from the most LIBERAL members of the party and the Democrats who listened to the Bush administration and right wing hawks are a prime example of what a mistake it is to do that.

The unapologetic hypocrisy of you folks on the right is a thing to behold. For the past 5 years you rant and rave about the President taking responsibility for what happens on his watch. But when it comes to the Iraq war, somehow it is the fault of Democrats.

By the way, the ACA contains several provisions that had been endorsed by the GOP for years before the President was elected, why not ask the Republican members of Congress why they are such spiteful, hypocritical partisans that they would try to sabotage their own ideas.

There is no need to blame President Bush for the ACA. Once the program is implemented and divorced from the right wing lies of the past 5 years, even in very red states like Kentucky, people like what they see. Even Mitch McConnell has realized that.

The ACA is here. People like it once they see what it provides. Your right wing talking points will soon be another quaint example of how conservatives were on the wrong side of history.

Again. Like that pointless war in Iraq for which you pathetically try to blame Democrats.

                  • Bob Waas Sr. May 31st, 2014 at 18:17

Misquoting is far from lying. No one is blaming Democrats. I just get sick of hearing secular progressive liberals blame Bush alone for Iraq when it was passed by Congress; based on the intelligence available at the time. I find the behavior of Kerry, Clinton and others reprehensible and downright cowardly for their lack of patriotism when it turned out there were no WMD.

The President warned us about this.
In Feb this year the GOP filibustered and lead the defeat in increased funding for VA healthcare.
Thanks for pointing out how the President ardently supported veterans health care.
Please go on. I also want to hear how the President broke his promise about closing Gitmo, as the GOP pulled funding for the closing.

Barack Obama’s approval ratings remain fluctuating in the mid 40’s and are no where near as low as Congress’s in general and the GOP’s specifically. (Obama shares the same approval rating as Mitch McConnell in Kentucky).

This is always a good outcome for the GOP who thrive on apathy from the majority and fear and loathing from their base.

                      (Reuters) – Americans increasingly think
Democrats have a better plan for healthcare than Republicans, according to a
Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted after the White House announced that more people
than expected had signed up for the “Obamacare” health plan.

Nearly one-third of respondents in the online

to healthcare, compared to just 18 percent for Republicans. This marks both an uptick in support for Democrats and a slide for Republicans since a similar poll in February.

I don’t think that approval ratings are likely to improve much over the next decades until the lack of an uninformed public does.
That is not going to change as long as the MSM is committed to infotainment only and does not consider it their job to “fact check their guests”.

Moral relativism. Obama sucks, but Congress sucks more, so let’s mark them on a curve so they all get a passing grade.
Most Americans haven’t felt the full impact of Obamacare because Obama delayed implementation of so many conditions based upon where they fell in the election cycle.

The President plunged to a new low in the NBC/WSJ poll approval ratings, with a 41/54 gap.
Yeah, hey Corkey you do know the President isn’t running for reelection right? Something about a 22nd amendment thingy.
                      Now lets talk numbers.
Lets talk about the *snicker* republican Congress approval rating.
Sort of puts that Romney landslide victory thing in perspective, doesn’t it?
Yep America is really in love with the GOP.

Thank God that Obama can’t run again! When his numbers fall like they have it creates a big sucking sound, which sucks the rest of the Democrats down with him; which is why so many of those up for reelection are distancing themselves from him and his signature accomplishment, Obamacare.

Why do liberals have so much trouble dealing with the facts. I didn’t make it up, I just repeated what Obama’s former adviser said:

“David Axelrod: Dem Candidates Need Independence From Obama to Win”

                      http://www.newsmax.com/NewsmaxTv/democrats-candidates-david-axelrod-independence/2014/02/07/id/551471/

Those quotes from Axelrod doesn’t prove that anyone is distancing themselves from Obama at all.

Why are you always using logical fallacies?

                    • William June 1st, 2014 at 19:18

Many liberals, especially women trashed Maher. It is less relevant as he is a comedian with a one hour/week show on a premium channel.

                    • Bob Waas Sr. June 1st, 2014 at 14:26

Sorry, but I don’t remember liberals calling out Maher for his comments. I got torn up quite a bit for saying how it was in poor taste; just like when Rush made derogatory remarks about Sandra Fluke. Liberals calling out other liberals for bad behavior is like Muslims calling out radical Muslims for their bad behavior; it never happens.
The tee shirt is pretty disgusting. Whatever happen to debating qualifications?

            • Obewon May 29th, 2014 at 17:41

And you voted TWICE for the $6 T faux intelligence clowns! Guess why you lost 5 of the past 6 popular POTUS votes? D’oh!

The President mentions “bipartisan”. Thanks for pointing out just why the President can’t keep promises.
Then we can have a nice chat about funding Embassy security.

Seriously? That’s how you want to play this? Everyone admits what’s happened with the VA is horrendous and needs to be addressed immediately and you’re going with bathhouse innuendo? You think that gives you the moral high ground? I thought you were one of the (extremely) few conservatives capable of carrying on an intelligent debate here but now I see you’re just another troll.
